It is obvious that the Homosexual Agenda is making itself deeply heard in the heart of the World’s biggest religions. Christianity, Islam, and the Judaism. I’ve seen the gay parade in San Francisco. It’s colorful and highly sexual. The moment has reached epic proportions. Let us pray that God directs us in what we should do next.:tsktsk::tsktsk:

Maybe the best “thing to do next” is to just concentrate on living out the Gospels and Corporal Works of Mercy and stop worrying about the so-called gay agenda. As in politics, I’ve learned over the years that all relationships are local or personal, then we are less likely to stereotype others. When a real face is put on an social issue instead of a vague overused stereotype, we are much more loving.😉

Your sentence lacks an object. If we include the assumed object the sentence would read.

For your statement to be obvious to the rest of us you need to provide much more detail on how it is obvious to you than a couple of news articles.

In fact the Yahoo article that you referenced ends with a paragraph that contradicts your premise of obviousness

If it is an “agenda”–it is the same agenda most groups and people have, including Christians…to live, be loved, to love, to be heard, and to not be persecuted by other groups who do not have the same beliefs.

I don’t know if you are a scientist or psychiatrist or biologist or gene specialist or not, but if not…perhaps these doctors do know something you may not.

And maybe what is going on right now in epic proportions is, indeed, God’s agenda…and god is directing all of this.

Just to be clear: homosexuality, transvestic fetishism (transvestism, crossdressing), and gender dysphoria (transgenderism, gender identity disorder) are three different issues. Some transvestites are heterosexual, while others are homosexual. It is a paraphilic disorder, which is an atypical manner of sexual arousal and behavior.
 
I don’t know where the idea that homosexuality can be spread comes from. It’s not caused by a virus or bacteria. It’s definitely not contagious.The CC states that the causes are largely unknown.

I can understand where one might get the impression that there are more homosexuals now because more and more are coming out to their families and their families believe they, the homosexuals, are not and have not been treated with equality and fairness.

Homosexuality is not a disease, it is not contagious therefore it can not be spread. It is not a creed or religion. Same sex attraction is an inherited trait. I’m grateful I wasn’t born with such a difficult condition. I pray for my brothers and sisters in the gay community.

I put a lot of time and study in trying to figure it out. The best I can come up with is that the tendency for SS attraction is inherited but needs an environmental trigger.

Being gay is not something to be dreaded, the problem is society. Today, gays can choose to: remain chaste, get married, have serial monogamous relationships, have open relationships. have multiple partners, be addicted to sex and everything in between same as heterosexuals. I believe a good sexual education starting at a young age would go a long way to having sane adult sexuality.
 
Homosexuality is simply considered in our Church as a disorder. Plain and simple. **We are called to treat each homosexual individual with compassion ** (just in case you miss it),as you would with anyone else. This is a Catholic Forum and because your feelings are hurt and you resist the Church’s teachings on homosexuality ,doesn’t change the fact that the Church still opposes it and considers it a disorder. This applies also to any non-married man and women who are sexually active outside of marriage. It is a sin any way you slice it and will remain a sin.😉
 
I’ve never really understood the phrasing “homosexual agenda”. You do realize not all of them want the same exact things, they aren’t an organization, and they aren’t out to get straight people.

I think that is a good way of looking at it. A subset of a group may have an agenda and many in the total group may be for it. For example, Mothers against have drunk driving have an agenda and many mothers in the larger group of mothers are for it but its not their agenda. Similarly, there are LGBT groups for SS marriage who have an agenda. Many homosexuals are for it but it is not on all of their agendas.

One of the most effective ways of demonizing a group is to suggest they all think and behave alike.

Do they believe in homosexuality? Everybody, including you, should be answering yes to that question. Homosexuality exists. It isn’t a matter of belief.

The second question is ridiculous. Homosexuality can not be spread. It is not a virus. It is not a disease. You can not catch it. It can not “spread”. Therfore one can not support the spreading of it.

Hi CatholicScheila, the second question as you put it is not so ridiculous. You play with the word spread so let me help you then. Do you believe that hatred can be spread throughout a nation? Let’s say Germany of WW2? Do you believe Atheist ideas get spread throughout nations. How about the spread of Communism? You have a problem with the word spread yet you would probably agree with the use of it listed above.
 
The only one who considers it a disease may be you, for I’ve not called it that (name removed by moderator)
 
My own dignity is hurt when I run a red light and get ticketed for it. That is the Law and I broke it. Yes I will feel bad afterwards, my dignity is hurt but it is the law, and I broke it. In the eyes of the law feeling hurt because of one getting the ticket doesn’t change things one bit. I pay the fine and move on!
