The movie is due out on DVD VHS, has anyone seen this movie? If so what is your impression of it?

Many of my friends told me it was one of the best films ever. Naturally my own experience did live up to such high expectations. I think I am burning out on the whole Pixar thing. It seems like it is mere parody rather than innovative storytelling.

Thank-you, Scott. What have been Pixar’s past couple of films?
I get them mixed up, “Bugs Life”, “Ice Age”,etc.

I loved it. I thought the story was cute, the characters were fun, and there wasn’t anything offensive. Good family viewing.

Ice Age wasn’t pixar.

Incredibles was a very good movie. It was fun and entertaining, without relying on pop culture references or potty humor. It was actually a good family film - meaning it did stress the importance of the family.

Violets line: Mom and dad’s lives could be in danger, or worse, their marriage!

IMO–Pixars best movies are Toy Story 1 and 2. 2 being my favorite.

I picked up the Incredibles today. The kids have been watching it. It does look very interesting and creative. But, I have not had much time to sit and take it in yet.

First off, I’m picky about what my under 10 year olds watch.

Now for the movie. I thought it was great. Not only was it a well done movie and clever in many ways, it had wonderful messages as well. Mainly, there is an intact family on screen where the parents are in charge. Everyone in the family has a special talent, &, if you pay close attention, their talents are representative of traits for different genders & ages. All the family members use their talents for the benefit of the entire family. The family bickers and struggles with human weaknesses; however, they overcome these to become a better family.

I picked it up today and we all watched it together tonight, it was good, of course my kids will easily watch it over and over but once was enough for me but I found nothing wrong with it and I don’t have a problem with my kids watching it, as an adult, It was ok, slightly boring I liked toy story 1 and 2 much better 😃

Incredibles is awesome.

These are all of Pixar’s movies:
  1. Toy Story
  2. A Bug’s Life
  3. Toy Story 2
  4. Monster’s Inc.
  5. Finding Nemo
  6. The Incredibles
Ice Age was made by 20th Century Fox. So was Robots.

Shrek, Shrek 2, and Shark Tale are all Dreamworks.

I think that covers all the films of this genre.

Pixar’s are by far the best.

Finding nemo was darling, the colors were outstanding, very neat underwater, We bought this one and we all enjoy it!!

My son agrees with you. We have had both the VCR and the DVD. One night Toy Story was on network tv. My son was 2 years old and did not understanc about commericals. Every time the movie broke for a commerical break, he would start crying. I would hold, tell him the movie will be back on and we it did, he would be all smiles and laughter.

Toy Story 2 is in my top 10 personal favorite movies. I just love the whole story concept around Woody being a rare collectible from a 1950’s kids show. Everything about it is very creative and the pairing of the Woody and Buzz characters is priceless.

btw–My kids have always loved them, too. I have a little great nephew (his father is my nephew) who has been stuck on Buzz since he was 2. I think Buzz was one of his 1st words.

HAD to share this about " Toy Story". My son when he was little watched “Toy Story 1” and was DEVASTATED over the " I am a LOST TOY!" line. He was sooo upset about that line he could not watch it until 6 or so months later. :o

Great movie! Pixar has a knack for writing great movies with terrific “father” parts. It’s great for the boys who watch to see how the “dad” always reacts to situations. He’s always a hero and a better person by the end of the movie.

Peace,
Jen

We just rented it and saw if for the first time a couple of days ago. I thought it was the best depiction of family life in a long time.

Mom and Dad are both in traditional roles and work out their frustrations and problems with their vocations. It absolutely emphasizes the importance of a father to family life and shows the grace that devotion and faithfulness can bring.

My favorite line is the dad’s: “why do they just keep rewarding mediocrity”

My husband’s favorite line is also the dad’s: “why can’t the world just stay saved!”

I love the Incredibles!!! I just had to pick it up the day it came out!!! The next one coming out by Pixar/Disney is Cars. There is a little bit of a preview on the Incredibles DVD. This will be the last one that is a Pixar/Disney film. After that, Pixar is free to work on its own or team up again with a major movie studio.

My daughter’s favorate is Nemo, for my son, it’s Toy Story. I like the little stories that come along with each one. Boundin’ was great!!!

While I couldn’t get into Ice Age (I know it isnt pixar) I did like the first hour or so of Robots. That’s how long the kids generally last at the movie theatre. There is a second Ice Age coming out soon as well.

Fantastic movie!

I was surprised at the violence and implied death in this, but I like that stuff anyway. 😛

I loved how baby Jack Jack turned into a demonic fireball replete with Damian music! I was cracking up! Great film…I hope more animated flicks are made with HUMANS…I am kinda burnt out on the concept of talking animals, fish and insects… I like it, but we need more stuff with human charactors.

Great movie. Pixar has the best storytellers in Hollywood right now.

I loved it, as as far a family viewing, it’s my favorite Pixar film.

Great emphasis on the family.

I loved that movie!

it was clever, it was enetrtaining, and it wanst offensive in the least.

I also liked the whole family focus. An intact family working though their problems. I also likes how there was no negative steryotyping of the parents (I HATE THE DUMB DAD CLICHE).

also, as had been mentioned, the powers are prepresntative of real attibutes that type of person would have/want. (little kids like to run fast, teenagers are shy and want to just dissapear [also the whole protective bubble and insecurites thing], the old "my dad is the strongest man on earth thing, and mothers trying to do a million things at once and the streching thing)
i give it a 10 of 10.
