Hello brothers and sisters

I am a male 21 years old and have finally opened my heart to Gods calling in my life. I have decided to look at visiting religious orders in the hope of becoming a Priest.
I feel so compelled by the The Institute of the Incarnate Word and i would love to go visit them.
The thing is i have sent 3 emails to the IVE vocations director Fr. Mariano Vicchi in the last 4 weeks without even 1 reply and its getting me abit down
As anyone else had this problem getting in contact with them?
im only suprised because there websites are of such a high standard especially there vocations website i thought within a day or 2 i would have at least something back.

He may be on vacation—it’s August, you know—so wait longer. I imagine as Voc Dir, he and he alone handles the email.

Don’t re-email him. Wait. He may gone until after Labor Day.

I, too, would wait to hear a response. Sometimes they don’t check their email very often or they are busy.

If, by next month, you still haven’t heard from him, write a snail mail letter by post. In some religious communities, this is the more favorable approach.

God bless! Praying for you. :crossrc:

I understand since I am not patient. You may want to pick up the phone and call. That might solve a lot if you are told that the person is indeed out for an extended period of time.

Thankyou for the replys brothers and sisters

I think i will try to hold on one more week before phoning the IVE. I think im only impatient because its an awful hectic time for me at the moment because i will need to travel to the United States to visit the vocation retreats and i will be going from one city to the next and im trying to figure out what route to go.

I havent had much luck either because im Scottish the only one so far who has invited me is the The Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. But i cant wait to go and join them for a weekend.

God bless:)

I am sorry. You previously hadn’t mentioned that you were coming from overseas on a limited time frame.

In that case, I would call them and explain your circumstances.
