Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Mary as our Mother and Model, shows us how a mere human person can live in holiness, that is, in union with God in the perfection of charity. God has given her to us that we may see in her and experience in ourselves His powerful work of Redemption in Jesus. Our Baptism into Christ begins our journey to holiness. Yet, how many are even aware of the great Gift of God, His indwelling Presence in our souls.
Yesterday I downloaded a book, entitled “The Interior Life of Jesus and Mary” by Fr. Grou, SJ suggested by someone who read the thread on “The Necessity of the Interior Life, in the Diary of St. Faustina”. You can find the link for this book HERE. I began reading and am finding it to be very helpful. It is encouraging to note these words in the Author"s Preface:

My sentiments exactly! God willing, I hope to post more as I read more, but if anyone is interested I offer the link for you to read the book on your own. You may have more time than I do at present. I continue to read for this Year of Mercy, “The Diary – Divine Mercy in my Soul” by St. Faustina, as well as daily reading and pondering of the Scripture for each day’s Mass, the weekly preparation for Legion of Mary Meetings where we are reading both The True Devotion of St. Louis de Montfort and the Handbook of the Legion of Mary at our meetings. St John of the Cross wisely wrote that by God’s Grace, Spiritual Reading leads us to Meditation and Meditation leads to Contemplation. The call to holiness is for all of us, and using time well is an important part of the journey. May the Holy Spirit guide us all, for His glory, our holiness and the sharing of Jesus with others!
