Exactly!Jeffman is absolutely right. it is like calling cats “dogs” -because cat owners want to use the dogparks.

I think I see what you’re saying, but I don’t agree. Every time we vote, we “express our opinion”. Each person should respect another person’s opinion, it’s not a way of “imposing our beliefs” on one another. There are examples of that like forcing kids to be taught that homosexuality is a good thing through required books in the schools.so at this point in the conversation, the question is: I it right or wrong? moral or immoral? votes matter - every time we vote, we “impose our beliefs” on others.
There are a multitude of moral systems, but there is only one that upholds God’s standards of what is right and wrong, and that is found in the Bible. Sorry, but I default to the understanding that if you are posting here, that you are Christian unless otherwise noted. Since you didn’t note that in your profile, that’s not an error in my reasoning. There are systems of morals that exist outside of Christianity, (you may not want to see this but it’s true). . .
I never said that, but apparently you must spend time thinking that. To be without Christ is to be dead in the world, without hope, and without blessing. There will be many “moral” people in the last day, and this is how Jesus says it will go for them:. . . so to be unChristian is not to be un-moral (or immoral). . .
Sorry, but the facts do not always fit into the ideology that you have. The Founding Fathers were overwhelmingly Christian in their thought and ideology, which is why we ended up with the government that we have. That may not be appealing for you personally, but those are the facts.. . . and please, no the Founding Fathers were Christians and meant to have a Christian state argument ( e.g. Jefferson’s understanding of Christianity). . .
The knife cuts both ways.. . .[the Founding Fathers] also created a system that as you state is a “full representation” of the persons and peoples living within it. And thus we get to VOTE what our government is and who we are as a people. You get to vote and I get to vote. If you don’t like that system, then go somewhere else where you might be happier.
views and allowing them to discern right from wrong for themselves (with your help) can only lead to the strengthening of their faith?zachforn said:Surely exposing your child to alternative [homosexual]

You’re joking, right? Sheesh. Talk about throwing your children under the bus! Your job, as parent, is to protect your kids from evil, not subject them to it.zachforn:![]()
Certainly ONE of our jobs of being parents is to protect them from evil, it is also another job to prepare our children to understand [how to] deal with evil, this means exposing them to it. . .PEPCIS:![]()
So, you take your children to see snuff films? You expose your children to evil by forcing them to view murder, rape, terroristic beheadings, etc, etc.?zachforn:![]()
No, but I do encourage them to read books like “Night”
Uh, have you read any of Jefferson’s writing? Have you never read Jefferson’s “version” of the Bible? Have you ever read Ben Franklin’s writings? Have you ever read Washington’s writings? Obviously not, if you are suggesting that the Founding Fathers were the sort of Christians that you think they were. Go read them and get back to me.The Founding Fathers were overwhelmingly Christian in their thought and ideology, which is why we ended up with the government that we have. That may not be appealing for you personally, but those are the facts.
