The "ITCCS" spam/Abuse Scandal

Apparently there was this story going around from an “organization” called the “ITCCS” saying how Pope Benedict was ‘going to get arrested’ and something along those lines,

like the sheep that we are, some fellow facebook friend gobbled up the spam as truth and reposted it saying “how could anyone be part of the Catholic faith now”, I let him know that was a scam as well, maybe that will get him thinking. I honestly regret even logging on facebook on sunday, because I gave up facebook, except sundays.

The spam article was written by a protestant minister who was fired and needed psyciatric care while working wherever he worked, he is the “itccs”, it’s a one entity organization, LOL

Apparently people have been buying this, who knows how many more people this article is pushing away from the Church. Especially those with little knowledge of the Church itself.

What is being done to “priests” who are guilty of abuse? In my personal opinion, “laity-ing” them seems like a ‘slap on the wrist’, are they being handed over to the authorities? What is being done to convict these guilty of abuse? While I know they will pay fro their sin in the next life, we cannot just “wait” until that time comes.

Pray for all of the afflicted.
 
I am extremely angry at the anti-Catholics using the sex abuse victims as pawns to attack Catholicism! :mad:

I wonder what this question keeps poppping up? The Catholic Church does not engage in criminal prosecution. What happens to a priest that does this, or any sex offender, depends upon the local prosecuter, judge and jury, not the Church. The Church is not the police. Most diocese have policies of total cooperation with the authority.

I have to say this in 2013 still, but most of these cases are now over 50-20 years old. This guy that invented the ITCCS is just still milking it. The Church has made drastic changes in dealing with this issue.
 
It’s a smear tactic the modernists are using to attack the Holy Father. The intention is to diminish his credibility, power and influence in choosing an orthodox successor.

Don’t forget that not too long ago a close associate stole the Popes personal correspondence and leaked it.

These are the works of the quisling, back stabbing modernest faction.
 
This is part of a post I made in another thread, shortly after I, too, got a post from a liberal friend on my Facebook page saying Pope Benedict resigned to avoid prosecution by some tribunal. (I, too, have given up Facebook for Lent and on Sundays I’m only going to check for messages from relatives and not get caught up in it. 😉 ) Anyway, here’s the snipped from what I posted elsewhere:

There’s a weird connection as I began searching other sites - these are promoted by strange New Age people - some gal calling herself JoAnne Enlightened Consciousness (facebook.com/apostlejoanne) was the conduit for the ITCCS to reach my Facebook friend. And another source I ran across via Google - 2012indyinfo.com/2013/02/14/45863/ is linked to a website run by a New Ager who’s channelling anything and everything. Weird, to say the least.

The man behind the ITCCS had something to do with native Canadian tribes seeking justice for children who were put into boarding schools by whites back when that was going on, and for all I know, he may have been right in that cause and done some good. But he apparently has some mental issues and may be prone to megalomania or something. 🤷

For me, it’s just a relief to know all this with regard to Benedict being prosecuted was a hoax. The Church is working its way out of a terrible snare that Satan has dragged her into spanning decades and through temptation of individuals as well as blinding those who should have been handling the problem better from above. And it’s still going to take time to heal and purify. I pray to St. Michael a lot about the whole mess. And take my inspiration from these words in Scripture:

**Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens.

Does anyone have anything smart to share with these people who post and share this stuff?

I mean, there isn’t really any evidence that links the Pope to any scadal is there?

Is there something fact based I can refer them to? I was certain I’ve heard the guys on CA talk about something they’ve put together re:sex abuse scandal…

How I found out it was a hoax was through my Facebook page from CatholicMemes.com which is actually a humor site. But it must have been a one-time post from them because I can’t find it on their site.

Snopes, the debunking site for rumors, calls it “undetermined” - hopefully they will be able to switch that to “false” when they get more info.

I have a hunch that reliable Catholic websites will address it soon. I had PM’d one of the mods here when I first heard of it, don’t know if CAF will take it up as a topic, but if they don’t surely someone will.

The fact that trying to find objective information about this ITCCS group is difficult probably is an answer in and of itself. There are either dead ends or connections with New Age groups or to places that just pass on the rumor without examining it. 🤷 So maybe serious journalists feel it’s not worth bothering with?

I keep hoping they will address this ITCCS business in a blog post or something. Or else I hope that the reason they haven’t thus far is that it’s too bogus to waste time on. But given my experience Googling and not being able to find much of a direct Catholic response, I think there needs to be one, so that other people who Google about it will be able to hear a thoughtful and reasoned and well-researched Catholic response. Otherwise only the “ITCCS” and its sympathizers are getting their message out, unimpeded. :mad:

It honestly makes me angry that Christians, people who follow a religion based off of loving our neighbors, can do this to fellow Christians. After all, we all share a belief in God the Father, so why attack each other?

Pope Found Guilty by ITCCS
The following ‘bogus’ warrant for arrest was issued today along with a call for volunteers to deliver the warrant to the Vatican. I pray that no one is stupid enough to follow through as they are likely to be arrested or worse…shot…

In any case, the International Tribunal into the Crimes of the ITCCS has several members who have contacted various authorities.

Any help that everyday citizens can offer would be greately appreciated.
Please contact your clergy or diocese and inform them of what this man is up to. He deserves attention, but not the kind he has been used to.

The only kind of attention he needs is psychiatric, IMO. Seriously, I suppose we should pray for the guy. I admit he makes me angry :mad: but Jesus said pray for our enemies. Not easy in this case. I’ll try.
