I stumbled upon this lecture from Fr. Robert Spitzer, SJ as I was researching other aspects of the faith, and I though I’d share it.

I have never heard anyone talk about Pope Francis and his style of writing and teaching like this. It adds so much more color and depth to this pope. I love it! It’s worth an hour if you have it to spare.

I agree, I have listened to this talk also and Fr. Spitzer does a very good job of communicating the Holy Father’s style of leadership.

He shows how we can push to the edge of evangelization in “being all things to all people” without leaving our faith and in fact, strengthening our faith.

This video also gives a good comparision of the different styles of the last 3 popes in the spiritual, logical, and pastoral senses. Three styles i think no one pope can fully exhibit but can only be found in our Lord Jesus.

I did particularly enjoy his comparisons with Pope Benedict and Pope St. John Paul II.

I think Pope Francis is one of the most misunderstood popes of the modern era. It truly is a shame because he has so much to teach us about walking in the image of Christ.
