How is it that the sacrament of reconciliation is not more readily frequented by Catholics? I am so thankful for this wonderful gift that Jesus Christ has given to us and draw such joy from its reception that it’s hard to explain the tremendous peace that I gain! I just went this morning and feel like the heavyweight champion of the world! I would find it extremley difficult to make it through the day to day if it were not for this wonderful sacrament coupled with reception of the Holy Eucharist. It seems like when I try to discuss this with other Catholics, they look at me like I have a third eye in my forehead or that I’m a bit insane. I can’t imagine that if Catholics knew their faith and continually pursued Truth, that the rate of confession would remain the same. How can we better communicate the joys and benefits of this tremendous sacarament more effectively? I believe that if everyone could truely experience in their lives the tremendous peace and joy that comes through this sacament, that the world would be a much better place! I for one, am more able to love and be loved as a result of frequent confession. Please, if you have delayed or fallen away from sacamental confession, do go! You won’t believe the joy that you experience and the effect that it will have in your relationship with others!
P.S. I’m not passing judgement, I just would like everyone to experience the incredible peace that comes from this sacrament and had to express it!
