For those that survive those buckeye tarts try these Maple Pecan Blondies.

I thought the Bugs was referring to Bugs Bunny.

Thatā€™s funny, but mince pies are small and very sweet and are delicious with custard or cream. At Christmas we have them as a dessert, sometimes with peaches and a small piece of Christmas pudding with cream or custard or even both. Very fattening though eaten like that.

Iā€™ve never had pumpkin pie, is it sweet? Iā€™ve actually got a huge whole pumpkin in the kitchen right now.
Hi Lee,

I personally think that pumpkin pie is a nice blend of sweet and spicy.

I donā€™t think that it tastes overly sweet.

You can taste a nice mix of the spices that are used in making it. You usually use at least ground cloves and ground cinnamon when making it, and you can usually taste the cloves in it, as it is quite a strong spice and a little bit of cloves can go a long way. šŸ™‚

I love pumpkin desserts, and like to try making different ones.

I have a pumpkin ā€œdump cakeā€ recipe that I would like to make sometime soon.

I have a pre-made frozen pumpkin pie that I will be making for us for Thanksgiving, though.

I wasnā€™t up to making a homemade pie, although I have made them.

This dump cake calls for a yellow boxed cake mix, and then some other ingredients that you mix together, and then some type of baking chipsā€“your choice of either chocolate, butterscotch, white chips, or cinnamon, and of course some pumpkin puree. šŸ™‚ šŸ˜‹

OGM, try the pumpkin cobbler I posted upthread sometime. It was so easy but so delicious. Best eaten the same day, or at least by the next day, reheated a bit in the microwave.

Yesā€¦

I meant to tell you that I did indeed print out that recipe! It looks really delicious! Thanks for posting it and for sharing it with us! ā¤ļø šŸ˜ƒ

Sounds good, thank you.

Perhaps Iā€™ll get a pumpkin pie one day. I donā€™t know if anyone sells them here, Iā€™ve never seen one but then I donā€™t food shop that often.

My good friend when I lived in Hawaii was originally from north Wales. She married a Hawaiian guy and has lived in Hawaii ever since.

She does travel back to the UK and she found an American style diner in London. She said it served pumpkin pies.

Unfortunately, I canā€™t remember the name.

Edit: got the name of the diner. Itā€™s called Waffle Jacks. Pie is served but it can vary.

Exactly! Everyone should be preparing for feasts. Instead, theyā€™re debating Evolution and Marian Apparitions šŸ˜
