This year Ashura was observed on Aug. 30 and the pilgrimage, 40 days later, will end on Oct. 9, 2020.

I thought this was interesting because while many of us are all in lockdown for religious services, others in other parts of the world are not. It is a very large event normally but I wonder about this year.

Isn’t Covid already raging in that country? Their fanaticism (not all of them) tends to ignore the virus and isn’t helping!
