This is a health news round up. One must scroll down on above link for the story on Brazil, the title is per the bing news search: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/latest-pakistan-pm-radical-religious-leaders-odds-70221149 , ABC . By the way, I do not agree with this Brazilian outlook and find it a bit careless. That said, they may be taking some precautions and some of these countries, even if it appears they are being lax, in most cases, they’ve still done some things like close the schools, etc. Every country is different.
So, a lot of different reactions around the world. Feels like 1860.RIO DE JANEIRO – Hundreds of people denouncing pandemic lockdown measures opposed by President Jair Bolsonaro snarled traffic in major Brazilian cities on Saturday.
Protesters in trucks, cars and on motorcycles honked horns on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and the capital of Brasilia, calling for governors to resign over measures that have forced most businesses to close for weeks.
Bolsonaro has been a fierce critic of the states’ stay-at-home measures, arguing that the economic harm could be more damaging than the illness. The protests took place a day after Bolsonaro fired his health minister, who had been promoting isolation measures.
This below is a paywall, so I only give the link. I don’t think you even get free articles.
I would note, South American countries, at least, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela trying to, all have been rather strict in guidelines. Ecuador has suffered if one researches it but the death rate, terrible and unacceptable, from last I saw was still under 200.
