" They dodge bullets and wrestle with the shadier underbelly of society, but the hardest part of a sheriff’s deputy’s job is telling someone their family member has died.

Bishop Robert Green makes that process easier. "

Our local paper is running religious related articles every Monday and this is from 22 October.

I’ve never heard of this church and I hope that if I’m involved in a
traffic accident and ask for a Catholic priest for “last rites”, that I don’t get this chaplain.

Does anyone know about this catholic church and the validity of their orders?

It is not in communion with Rome, it grew out of the Old Catholic Church in Great Britian in 1916. Some of the Priests may or may not have valid Holy Orders, just like some of rent-to-hire Priests that you can find. It is open to theosophy as a belief and that heavily influences the belief set but from what I gather it is not necessary to totally accept theosophy if a member. It leans toward a very new-age feel in its approach toward belief & often incorporates new-age or occult practices into the belief set. If you are familiar with some of the issues surrounding the Episcopal Church, the LCC would be a very liberal version of what some are proposing to do or have done there in terms of actual beliefs. You can pretty much believe whatever you like and still be a member of the LCC. At the same time it looks more traditionally Catholic in terms of the outer appearance (minus a few big differences–i.e. the female “priests” and same-sex weddings) in that it uses a pre-Vactican II “look” and worship “style” but in the venacular.

If you google the name you will get more on the belief set. It seems to be growing because people want the “look” of Catholicism without having to commit to anything. 🤷

Thanks. He did mention that his congregation is shrinking and he doesn’t have much to do now days.
