I’m a huge worrier and stresser.
I like to feel in control, know what’s going on and how I can change it.
One of the toughest lessons I’ve had to learn in my marriage was to trust, not only my Husband, but God as well.
I’ve always been a “I’ll just do it myself” sorta person, and when I’m unable to, I can make myself sick with stress or worry.
This is something I had thought I had gotten a handle on, had more or less “worked it out.”
But today I got the news that my eyes have some deterioration, and a detached retina.
I’ll need to go see a specialist, then in all likelihood - eye surgery.
It was unexpected - I was there to get more contact lenses, and this gets dropped on me.
I had to get the Dr. to write what she was saying down so I could re-read it later when I wasn’t so preoccupied with trying not to hyperventilate in her chair.
I’m calmer now, but not very peaceful.
I told my Husband and made it out to sound like it was no big deal, and it’d all be fine.
… I don’t want him to worry too.
Any prayers or advice as to how to regain my peace would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
