The line for Communion - 2 lines always?

I’ve seen it both ways. Parish custom, local habits, and chruch architecture dictate how this is handled. My preference is to be reverent and recollected as I approach. No socializing or jibber jabber or looking around to make smiling eye contact with friends. My soul is being led, as a bride the altar, to receive the bridegroom.
