May 24 is the remembrance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Help of Christians. She is patron under this title of countries, cities and orders

The Australian Proper of the LOTH gives only a prayer, second reading and a modified invocation for the intercessions to celebrate the feast. The Salesians on the other hand, have a wonderful Proper Office complete with a Vigil to celebrate the feast. I recite this Office as a Votive on many Saturdays and it is one of my favourites.

I have typed out the Office from the Salesian Proper for the LOTH for those who feel inclined to observe this feast. I personally encourage those of you who recite the LOTH to do so, for this title is a magnificent truth to the intercession of the Mother of God. And as St. John Bosco says in the Second Reading
The title of “Help of Christians” attributed to the august Mother of the Redeemer is not new in the Church of Christ, but in these latter times, it has been proclaimed of the Blessed Virgin Mary for a special reason. Not only for private favours is Mary being invoked, but especially because of the serious and imminent danger that threaten the faithful. Today the Catholic Church itself is attacked in its missions, in its institutions, in its head, in its doctrine, in its discipline. It is attacked as the Catholic Church, the pillar of truth and the teacher of all the faithful.
And it is precisely to obtain the special protection of heaven that we have recourse to Mary as the Mother of us all, the special helper of Catholics throughout the world and of their leaders
Hence we can truly say that Mary has been constituted by God as the Help of Christians and that in time of crisis she has shown herself to be the helper especially of those who suffer and fight for the faith.
May the Blessed Virgin help us to be faithful to the teachings of the faith, of which the Roman Pontiff, the Vicar of Jesus Christ, is the head, and obtain for us the grace of preserving in serving God on this earth, so as to join her one day in the kingdom of heavenly glory.
In any case, if you would like to recite the Office, please click on the link below. The psalms and canticles are printed in place. The document is suitable for recitation by both those who are using the UK Divine Office (or Daily Prayer, Shorter Morning and Evening Prayer) and the ICEL Liturgy of the Hours (or one of its derivatives, such as Christian Prayer, Shorter Christian Prayer).

Where the texts differ, the left hand side is the texts for the former and the right hand side for the latter. (It’s marked)

I forgot to note that any translation of Latin (hymns or the prayer of St. John Bosco) for Compline are unofficial and not in the book. They are only intended as an aid to understand the Latin

Thank you for this link - much appreciated by this Aussie. Our Lady Help of Christians is patroness of Australia and thus of Australians…my Daily Prayer from The Divine Office is drawn from the Common of Our Lady with only a few prayers proper to the Feast of OL Help of Christians.
If anyone should visit Tyburn Monastery (Adorers of The Sacred Heart of Jesus of Montmarre) in Riverstone New South Wales, they have a most beautiful very large (probably over double life size) statue of OLHC in their gardens.
