The Love Of The Father: John 3:16
The first thought that has come to me about this verse is the phrase: “For God so loved…” What is suggested by this phrase alone, could actually be the entire Gospel, were it correctly understood and lived out in the lives of believers.
What does this mean to you? What has been your experience?
To me, this verse, this phrase, is all about the love of The Father; and of His Son to erring mankind. It describes, and models a special type of love that never ceases to amaze me!
What are your thoughts? Is this really GOOD NEWS to you? Why?
This really is GOOD NEWS!! I have often meditated upon this scripture, and one of the Catholic posters here at CAF mentioned that they were starting to study this wonderful text too. It seemed like a logical thing to us to also start a topic, discussing our respective views on this text. I would like to invite comments and thoughts and testimonies from anyone interested in studying the subjects of this verse.Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
