Evidence please.
Surprisingly, when I looked up Cains descendants and their mark, I got alot of results that have many people believing Cain was the first in a line of REAL vampires!! I was surprised at the amount of these type results, some were from seemingly credible websites too.

There’s nothing in the Bible that indicates Cain’s descendants also received an identifying mark. You’re certainly free to believe whatever you like (as are the people that believe in vampires) but that doesn’t mean the belief is based on anything other than speculation.

This is interesting. I don’t know about vampires, but perhaps something slightly evil. But maybe this has merit. People couldn’t KILL him.

Yeah, they made some very good points for this theory, and we know Cain was definitely un-Godly, so maybe Satan granted him some kind of transformation into what we today would call a vampire? Anything is possible I guess, this may have been where the whole vampire myth got started too! (dont anyone start about it actually being Vlad the Impaler, Im aware of that theory), not saying its not true or not…I doubt anyone here knows what went on back then for 100% sure.

I think the Bible says so they wouldn’t kill him; not that they couldn’t kill him.
15 Then the LORD said to him, “Not so! * If any one slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.” And the LORD put a mark on Cain, lest any who came upon him should kill him.
Genesis 4:15

I have also heard that it was the mark of the beast, such as in Book of Revelation. So perhaps it was a horn or something like that.

Does anyone think Cain is still out there somewhere today?

Im not 100% sure it was Cain, but seems like I recall someone else from biblical times that was cursed by God and God said he will be forced to walk the earth until Jesus comes again…I cannot remember who this was though…anyone know who Im referring to?

It is curious to wonder if someone out there in our world today is this person!!!..Just imagine all they have seen and experienced? WOW…Im assuming they would not want to draw attention to themselves, so they would probably not advertise or even admit to this.

Nope that’s the wandering Jew. The original legend concerns a Jew who taunted Jesus on the way to the Crucifixion and was then cursed to walk the earth until the Second Coming. The exact nature of the wanderer’s indiscretion varies in different versions of the tale, as do aspects of his character; sometimes he is said to be a shoemaker or other tradesman, while sometimes he is the doorman at Pontius Pilate’s estate.

Is his name ever mentioned?

Why would this be a curse? The person is basically immortal on earth, seems more like a blessing.

Actually this would be a curse, every friend or wife you ever had, you would have to watch them age and die, when you remain exactly the same, year after year, decade after decade…until Jesus returns!! Which could be tomorrow, or another 50,000 years.

Then don’t get married lol. I’m sure after a few years a person could cope with their losses. They could join the military and be on the front lines, could skydive and race cars, help people with infectious diseases, climb mountains, play with wild and ferocious animals, offend mob bosses by dismantling their operations, and so forth, and will never die. Sounds like a pretty exciting life, personally.

Really?

Have you not felt the ache to be with the Father in Heaven? Living a seemingly immortal life on earth doesn’t just lead to radical stunts, it also leads to all the pains of life that never end. Plus you’d still need to take care of yourself if you wanted to be comfortable at all. That means holding down a job forever. FOREVER.

Actually, Cain was killed by Lamech in the Hebrew tradition. The legend is referenced in Genesis 4:23-24:
And Lamech said to his wives Ada and Sella: Hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech, hearken to my speech: for I have slain a man to the wounding of myself, and a stripling to my own bruising. Sevenfold vengeance shall be taken for Cain: but for Lamech seventy times sevenfold.
From the notes found in the Douay Rheims:
I have slain a man: It is the tradition of the Hebrews, that Lamech in hunting slew Cain, mistaking him for a wild beast; and that having discovered what he had done, he beat so unmercifully the youth, by whom he was led into that mistake, that he died of the blows.

Unfortunately, in the legend his is OLD forever and dependent on alms, so that probably isn’t so exciting.😦
