Does anyone have “The Lamb’s Supper”? If you do could you explain what Hahn says about the mark of the beast in the book?
I say this because according to Hahn and some of the ECF (particularly St. Augustine I think) that Revelations was to an extent already fulfilled when Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD.
***Hi, MH!
I’ve not read the book–I’m a poor reader…
…as far as the anti-Christ… John spoke on this issue in his epistles:
Children, this is the final hour;
you have heard
that the Antichrist is coming,
and now many Antichrists
have already come;
from this we know
that it is the final hour.
They have gone from among us,
but they never really belonged to us;
if the had belonged to us,
they would have stayed with us.
But this was to prove
that not one of them belonged to us. (1 St. John 2:18-19)
Who is the liar,
if not the one who claims
that Jesus is not the Christ?
This is the Antichrist,
who dinies both the Father and the Son.
Who ever denies the Son
cannot have the Father either;
whoever acknowledges the Son
has the Father too. (1 St. John 2:22-23)
This is the proof of the spirit of God:
any spirit
which acknowledges Jesus Christ,
come in human nature,
is from God;
it is the spirit of Antichrist,
whose coming you have heard of;
he is already at large in the world. (St. John 4:2-3)
There are many deceivers at large in the world, refusing to acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in human nature. They are the Deceiver; they are the Antichrist. (St. John 2:7)
From these passages it is surmised that Satan is not the only anti-Christ; everyone who rejects Jesus is the anti-Christ.
Maran atha!
