Personally I think that the Mark of the Beast will be an actual physical mark.

In one of the links posted above by Vee8, Mark Mallet has indicated what I truly believe it is. He speaks of a new economic system and form of world government. That is exactly the stage we are in at the present time with globalization - a sort of re-structuring of the world. It is an ideology that advances the corporate agenda, and as such, is not a democratic choice of the peoples of the world - it is wholly business driven serving the needs of not the world (despite the propaganda) but is rather a tool to serve the interests of the elite. From that, we are moving toward a fascist/socialist new world order as spoke about in over 200 speeches by George H. W. Bush over 17 years ago. Almost all U.S. presidents have embraced it in one form or another since Woodrow Wilson.

Interestingly enough, many treaties and trade regulations have recently been done through the Dept of Commerce (commerce=the buying & selling part.) We are also moving into a surveillance society through legislation that has been passed over the last 7-8 years. The FISA bill is the most recent one, just passed by the Senate and soon, to be signed into law.

I fervently pray that every man, woman and child on the planet bend their knee to our Sovereign Lord and beg his mercy!

Not even close. Homosexuality is an abomination not only to God but to natural law. There are times when marriages are annulled for very valid reasons. For a wife to leave an abusive and possibly murderous husband does not compare in the least to a man willingly having sex with another man (or woman/woman). There are no extenuanting or mitigating circumstances for homosexuality as there can be for divorce.

Simon
There are more divorced people than there are homosexuals.
Many divorced people have children.
Divorce is a greater threat to the family, the state and the country than any homosexual is.
In certain cases, divorce is a reasonable thing to do but these cases are rare.
There’s not much that can be done about civil divorce, but it’s hurtful to see so many Catholics treat divorce so casually.
As for the mark of the beast, I hate it when my bill comes to 6.66 at the grocery store.
I don’t want that number on me in any way.
I’ll buy a pack of gum to get a new number.
If the devil is watching I want him/her to know that I don’t think his/her little games are funny.

Idk what protestants ur talking about, but idk any who think of marriage as a sacrament, except for some anglicans, the same type who believe in seven.

When I was a baptist, the two “GOSPEL ORDINANCES” (bc it just rolls off the tongue so much more smoothly that “sacrament,” plus the preacher sounded more intelligent and didnt run the risk of offending anyones anti-catholic sensibilities) were baptism and the Lord’s Supper (which involved crackers and grape juice and about ten minutes of being told to feel really guilty bc if you didn’t and ate said crackers and grape juice, you “eateth and drinketh damnation unto thineself”).

I go far afield. Sorry. :o
I’m talking about what sacraments the heretics OBJECTIVELY have, and not what they SUBJECTIVELY THINK they have, which are different things. 🙂

I have a feeling the bible is much more literal than we tend to think. It IS hard to believe that all of those rather obvious signs would occur without people realizing it. And yet, when you hear how people are talking about abortion… Something so clearly diabolical and wrong. And they twist it and turn it until a lie looks like truth, and the truth looks like a lie (Well the devil does the twisting and the people do the believing in the twisting).
People really are shockingly good at lying to themselves. They don’t believe in God because they see no miracles. I say “read the bible”, they say “we want modern miracles!”, I say “well here’s a book about Fatima” and they say “You can’t honestly expect me to believe THAT!”.
I have a feeling the apocalypse will be surprisingly literal and they’ll all say “well, you can’t honestly expect me to believe THIS!”

I remember a VBS teacher, an older lady, when I was a child. (We would hop from VBS to VBS all summer long). She believed the mark would be a computer with everyone’s stats in it, and if you did not live up to the standards, you would be singled out for persecution.

I remember thinking it was a silly thought.

But, now I’m beginning to think she may have been right. :hmmm:

I n his latest post in the series The Seven Year Trial Mark Mallet reminds us of the price for most of us of NOT accepting whatever this mark may be.
markmallett.com/blog/?p=728#more-728

"I also saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image nor had accepted its mark on their foreheads or hands.Rev 20:4)

So the price of not accepting the mark will be death. Not for all though some will remain, those who are likely in hiding, “the faithful remnant will emerge to possess the land.”

Remember the communities of the antichrist will look very attractive in a time of great instability. There will be small Christian communities also but probably are lacking in material goods compared to the communities of the antichrist. Think about this and for those with families what in particular that will mean for you, and what being a follow of Jesus means to you are you really ready to follow Him?
