**Jesus was a religious Jewish man. And you should know much better that in Judaism, which was the Faith of Jesus, there is no such a thing as Greek Mythology. Every time you speak of Jesus as son of God with a woman, you are distorting the image of Judaism in the eyes of the world. Whoever does not know about true Judaism will obviously think that there is no difference between our Faith and Pagan Mythology.
**
My my, how you like to attack and slander both Christians and Christ. For shame, for shame.

Jews did not accept that Jesus was God born of a woman. They turned their backs on him and crucified him.

Christian have recognized the truth There is no pagan mythology involved. If it seems that there is, then you are putting the cart before the horse. Of course, some pagan myths will have echoes of Truth in them as man has always searched for God.

No human being can ever decide to love. It does not make sense at all. One can decide to accommodate, but to love, never believe such a thing. One either loves or he doesn’t.
Ben Ben Ben, I begin to truly pity you. You claim to hate nothing, but clearly you do not love anything either. Love lasts by choice when lust and newness passes by. Love is something we feel and we decide to do.

And enough with the silly examples you give which only serve to underscore the poverty of love you seem to have. My wife is the youngest of 7 and she had almost 30 nieces and nephews when we got married. I made a choice to love all of them.

Love is always a choice.

What a bunch of bull pucky.

Let’s see…

VISA is mark of the beast:
VI=6 (Roman), S=6 (Greek), A=6 (Babylonian)… 666!

Ronald Reagan’s first, middle, and last names all have six letters in them, as did his nickname, the “Gipper” - 666! He was voted to become President in 1980. Add 1+9+8+0 and you get 18, which is 6+6+6, or 666!

On a telephone dialpad, “Mom” is spelled with the digits 666!

So VISA, Ronald Reagan, and all mothers are evil too.

Like I said - bull pucky.
The little horn/Anti-christ came up among the 10 nations that roman empire divided up into, you cant just aply this 666 to anyone. You have to look at Rome.

Chapter 13
Things i add will be in (brackets)

The Pope wears a triple tiered crown which means he is the king of Heaven and Earth and Purgatory this is writen on it
V I C A R I V S F I L I I D E I
Letters to numbers =
5 1 100 0 0 1 5 0 0 1 50 1 1 500 0 1
TOTAL 666

Anti also means in place of.
Anti-Christ = In place of Christ
Who does the Pope say he is the rep of?
Goody, the counting game. Let me play.

The Pope’s title has never been the Vicar of the Son of God.
It has always been the Vicar of Chist (Vicarius Christi)
V I C A R I V S C H R I S T I
5 1 100 0 0 1 5 0 100 0 0 1 0 1
TOTAL 214

Now, let’s play some more.

Ellen = L+L=100,
Gould=U+L+D=555,
White=a double ‘U’ = 2 'V’s +1 =11.
hmm, 100+555+11 = 666

What is seriously wrong with you? People like you give Protestants a terrible name. Do some research of church history my friend, also for the first 1500 years, the world was Catholic…but I sense where this will lead.
By 500AD the Bible was in 500 languages and by 600AD only 1. Why? So people could be told what to believe.

First 1500 years?? i dont think so

Look i’ll say what i think and you do with it what u want. By 538AD the Church Built by the Christian faith was poluted by paganism and the true word was kept by the likes of the Waldensies and preached in secret for fear of prosecution (sorry about my spelling:o)
The true word was spread slowly but never died, and through the reformation Gods true word was once again restored in a remnant Church. In the end days Gods people will be the ones that stay true to the 10 Commandments and have the testimony of Jesus.

Dear Ben, Jesus did replace the Mosaic law with just two commandments.
jpaul1953, Jesus did not abolish the 10 Commandments. Jesus Himself said that in those 2 commandments are summarized the Torah and the Prophets! But yes, some things have changed: Jesus having offered Himself in sacrifice who really takes away the sins of the world of all times, hence no more need to offer animal sacrifices for our sins; repentance still is required, though, and so to confess our sins so as to do away with them, we have the Sacrement of Penance…

Also, as for punishing the wrong-doers, some things have changed; however, there is still reparation required by civil laws. In our countries we don’t condemn adulterers to die from stoning, or homosexuals to die from burning in fire. In many places the capital punishment was abolished… there are exceptions, of course, and there are people who think it to be a good thing whenever somebody has steadily remained a threat to the lives of the people and does not repent at all.

By 500AD the Bible was in 500 languages and by 600AD only 1. Why? So people could be told what to believe.
Why should the people be “told what to believe”? Grave errors were rampant in those days as much as nowadays, Ads. Don’t you want to make sure that what is taught to you is the unerring Truth? I am sure you do. How to make sure you do when so many pastors add new teachings that are not even from Christ? In saint Paul’s time this already was a serious problem, as he shows in his letter to the Galatians and also in 2 Corinthians 11, 1-11.

I would like to add that Ads view is one once held by me.
We all have to understand that many of us, both Catholic’s and Protestants, have been subject to what was the current views of our spiritual leaders.

Ads view is a current view held by some protestant groups about the Catholic Church.
Many have views that does not place them in danger of hell, if you will, because they are going by what they believe to be the truth.

Catholics are not excluded in that in times passed, persecution of the heretics were believed to be the right thing to do.

So, we are all as like children spiritually, learning here or there new revelations as God sees fit to reveal to us at the appropriate times.

What needs to be understood is the basic principle of love, God’s type of love towards our brethren who may or may not be privy to the more mature spiritual understandings of some of us.

It is therefore, a burden placed on those who are spiritually mature to lead, not force, not by deception nor by any other motive, but to help arise the spirit of God in them so that they to may grow spiritually.

I wouldn’t ban ads from this thread because it shows the opposite view, and perhaps, somewhere down the line some of us may ,help him understand otherwise.

I did explain my views on the 666 number and though it was at the time of the early church a description in code of what was happening then, it still is applicable in code to revelation of the word of God as a picture of Gods works.

Simply put, God used and uses things happened and happening in this world to hide His message, to where only those whose motive is love for God and His word may have the favor of understanding been given.

But until then, things remain so that people will continue to seek answers, to seek after God, because that’s the way He instituted it.

Blessing’s, AJ
Thank you for this post, AJ. 👍👍
Blessings to you also!

**So, you love Jesus because he didn’t want to do it but did it for the greater good. This is cruelty from your part and masochism from the part of Jesus. Is that how you want him to be reminded of? **“He didn’t want to do it”: What, to sacrifice His very life? Even if one does it willingly, it seems to me quite human that one would feel anguished when the time comes. He did it WILLINGLY, He was not forced to do it, that was why He came among us for… “I give my live of my own accord. No one takes it from me.”

By 500AD the Bible was in 500 languages and by 600AD only 1. Why? So people could be told what to believe.
The BIBLE was in 500 languages? I’d need to see a little more proof than just your word on that. You’re telling us that in 500 AD, the Bible was in 500 languages? Really?!?

Not likely, even today I don’t think there are 500 languages world wide.

Ads needs to look at his history books more closely. The first protestant sects didn’t crop up until Martin Luther and John Calin, and John Wesley in the 1500’s to 1600’s. Then they started cropping up like fruit flies.

I just love revisionist historieans, they make up anything along the way. It really makes you wonder why they have to rely on lies and make believe to convince folks that their ideas are true.

Shouldn’t the TRUTH have to depend on EVERYTHING being true ???

IF you have to make up a story to establish your real beginnings then you are building your foundation on quick sand. Better get out before it all comes tumbling down.

So, Jesus could have asked of God to send a legion of angels and get rid of the Romans, and escape death. Nevertheless, he asked for something easier: To remove that cup without his having to drink it. Either way, he got no reply from God. Neither for what he asked nor for what he did not ask. Therefore, the poor man was forced to walk the via dolorosa against his will. And you love him for that. Let God keep me far away from this kind of lovers. **
You forget the second part of Jesus’ prayer: “However, Thy will, not mine, be done!” The “poor man” then received the needed strength to face His ordeal to the end, which was what His prayer really was asking for.
In this prayer: “Lord Jesus Christ, we adore You and we bless You, for by your Cross You have redeemed the world”, there is our reason for loving Him.

And please note the “have redeemed”, not just “redeemed”… it’s still ongoing.

But regarding the Mosaic laws which you say Jesus fulfilled and was replaced by grace, I don’t know where you got this from because that’s not what Jesus meant in Matthew 5:19. He set himself only as an example for all of us to continue obeying the Mosaic laws and teaching them according to the letter. He even said in the parable of the Richman and Lazarus that if we don’t listen to Moses, even if one is raised from the dead, sinners won’t stop walking to Hell. (Luke 16:29-31)
But if sinners sin to one point and then somehow they are brought to repent with their whole heart, should they still be punished for their actions before they repented? If the sin was very serious, for instance, was there any provision for their case?

If we include the many dialects, there are in fact at least a few thousands of them!
Maybe but many dialects are very similar. Even with the hundreds in China, you could probably boil them down to between 10 and 20 major ones, maybe even less. My dad spoke 3 main dialects and he could understand just about anyone from any other village or province. The written language in China was country wide, so he could read what anyone else wrote.

I suspect it is simlar in other countries where there are many dialects. My guess is there are probably less than 200 written languages world wide.

Also, we are made able to forgive those who did wrong to us. Only God can forgive, the Jews say. But Jesus demonstrated that the sons of men do have the power to forgive:
“So that you may know that the Son of man has received the power to forgive the sins, arise, says He to the paralysed man, take your…” What’s the word for “grabat” or “brancard” in English? I don’t have the English text with me now… something where they lie the sick people so that they be carried…“and walk (or “go back home”)!”

And the Torah was written the ancient sumerians in order to confuse the Jews.

See, it’s easy to play the crazy game.
The way I read it that it states that many scholars believe it was not written by Peter. Not that it wasn’t written by Peter.

One point though, I thought it was general knowledge Peter was illiterate early on. Not sure, just thought that was the consensus.
