Sunday will be the fourth anniversary of the murder of Alberto Ramento, former Obispo Maximo of the Philippine Independent Church and outspoken advocate for the poor and agricultural workers of the Philippines. He was a vocal critic of the Philippine government’s inability or unwillingness to stop extrajudicial killings, including those of the federal or local governments’ political enemies. I invite everybody to do a google search, to read up on this brave man of God’s life and death; he’s truly inspirational.
