The Mass in the OT

Oh, that one among you would shut the temple gates to keep you from kindling fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts; neither will I accept any sacrifice from your hands, For from the rising of the sun, even to its setting, my name is great among the nations; And everywhere they bring sacrifice to my name, and a pure offering; For great is my name among the nations, says the LORD of hosts. (NAB Malachi 1:10-11)

Jesus is the only pure offering. He is offered up every Mass all over the world from sun-up to sundown. There’s always a Mass being celebrated somewhere. How can this not refer to the Mass?

In OT times, the Lord’s name was only great among the Jews, not among the nations, so this is obviously talking about the future. When have the nations (Gentiles in other translations) offered up any sacrifice to the Lord, not to mention a pure one, besides at the Mass?

You can see non-Hebrew/non-Jewish sacrifices to the Lord at Genesis 4:3-4 [Cain, Abel]; Genesis 14:20 [Melchizedek]. All of these were non-Jews making offerings to the Lord.

You may be right about the Malachi interp, though.
 
The theme that develops from the OT to the NT regarding the mass is all over the place; such as Jer. 31 which speaks of the New Covenant and relates the union of Jew and gentile as the reconciling of Israel and Judah.

It is far better though, to look into the development of the sacrifices of which Jesus is the pinnacle. But you will have to go outside of scripture to get a full view of the traditional Judaic practices.
