You are right! this is certainly an excellent article. One small error is that the altars began facing the people largely in 1965 rather than 1969. By 1969 the fact was pretty well accomplished.
More seriously however, if one follows Fr. Fessios’s statements right through then the Novus Ordo is, as has often been said, not organic. Although Fr. Fessio celebrates it with many improvments over what is the normal practice today, the Tridentine Mass with active participation still seems most accurately to fit what he states that Vatican II intended.
