The Meaning of Life

I believe that this meaning of life applies to all humanity regardless of your belief system. The meaning of life is this;

To be a gift of yourself to others in whatever you do.
As a husband, be a gift,
as a wife, be a gift,
as a mother be a gift,
as a father be a gift
as son or daughter you are meant to be a gift.
As a professional, be a gift.
In your suffering and neediness, be a gift.

Do this and you will find some fulfillment in life. Do this as a Catholic with all the gifts God has given us through The Body of Christ His Church and your fulfillment will be complete.
 
Great precept!

Before I read your answer, I thought, “God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in the next.”
 
What I believe is similar. I believe love is the meaning of life.

"To find Me, to know Me, to receive Me, then to come to Me - that is the only meaning of every life." (Jesus to Sr. Mary of the Holy Trinity) That is, love and seek God. In this way we will certainly “be a gift” to others! I guess it depends on what angle you’re coming from.

Christ said “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.”

Jesus IS the meaning of our lives. Through Christ we find our true selves and our very being.

To me the meaning of life is to know what God wants of you and then do it. I am trying every day to see what he wants from me, and then pray when he tells me, that I can use the grace given to me to do it.

I am still a work in progress!!😃
