I’m looking for any good books/articles/links that talk about suffering, linking Christs suffering on the cross to sickness and physical suffering. Especially anything by Mother Teresa.

Thanks for any help 🙂

Peter Kreeft Making Sense Out of Suffering

I recently asked about redemptive suffering in another forum, noting what the Cathechim has to say in par. 1505: “…By his passion and death on the cross Christ has given a new meaning to suffering: it can henceforth configure us to him and unite us with his redemptive Passion.”

As I noted then, that’s the only thing that makes any sense at all about trials and sufferings, and such enigmatic passages as Philippians 3:10-11 and Colossians 1:24.

The people on that forum directed me to these helpful links:

SALVIFICI DOLORIS, by John Paul II:

In all honesty, read the life of just about any Catholic Saint and you will find profound stories of physical AND spiritual suffering.

Any Catholic Saint …
