We are slaves my friend, I will help you free from the shackles.
Many years of philosophy have already liberated me… :thankyou:!
How influential is the media?

Who is actually sane of mind?

What are the shackles that constrict us?

A quote for some to chew, “Homer has taught all other poets the art of telling lies skillfully.” (Aristotle :bowdown2:)

We must work together to be free.

How influential is the media?
Very, very much so. If a news station sides with or against a political party, product or store, or worst of all, a religion, the results of this reporting - biased to serve their and their followers’ wants - are catastrophical.

I have not the slightest idea. I like thinking about, what if we’re really the insane ones, and the ones who are dubbed “insane” by society really stable? What if our brains have sanity backwards?

Our hatred for one another. No, our refusal to forgive, because that causes hatred. God taught us this sacred teaching, but we forgot, it seems. When we can learn to follow Jesus’ teachings - forgive and love - we will be freed from the chains that cause all other chains that are hatred and evil towards one another.

Sounds more like Homer Simpson :D:D:D:D (Seriously, have you actually SEEN his influence?!)

Yes, I concur. But it starts with you, as they say. YOU start breaking down the evil walls between you and your “enemy”, and forgive and love as the Lord taught. Imagine a world with no hatred, no vengeance. It starts with you, my friend! (If you think I’m being a hypocrite, I too need to learn this art)
See? There’s some trust right there! Telling Ol’ Pie-Meister your name!

Yeah, I just got kinda preachy, but hey, this is what I believe! 🙂

It is a price we pay for our freedom of speech. Is there a way to overcome this?

That sounds extremely stonerish “yaaaaa man” talk, trust me, I should know haha. I will admit you have a point, but we do not become sane until we are liberated. The shackles that constrict us influence us early. I tend to look at it as the ones who are in charge actually know what is going on, because they are the ones who have control on whether or not to publish the influences. Leaders can have different opinions though on how the media should be used.

Hierarchy binds us my friend.

Freedom requires Heroic Leadership and Bravery. Being a Hero is not being strong, it is being so scared that you act, because you do not want anyone else to experience it. We all need the initial guidance, then it is left up to us.

First, being a hero means being willing to put your life on the line for a good cause. The soldier, the fireman, and the police officer do heroic things.

A person should always be careful of statements in the media. If something seems wrong to you then check other sources. If a person is mentioned by name, look further. Various “experts” are sometimes quoted in the media but they may not be guiding people in a good way.

Peace,
Ed
