Greetings.
I would like to ask a question about using the condom as not intrinsically evil inasmuch as I read in passing about the pronouncement of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI implying that using the condom in certain cases is morally acceptable. Is using the condom not tantamount to masturbation? Is it not equivalent to the thing done be Onan, spilling his seed on the ground although it is caught in a thin plastic container but which later on will be thrown on the earth or on the ground? Will using it to free oneself from being contaminated by one’s sexual partner a lesser evil? How about if one to divorce one’s sick partner so as to free one from contamination a lesser evil than using a condom? I have many more things to say but I am ending it now because I do not like to debate any further on this issue, but remember from hereon the admonition of St. Peter, if my memory is right, “Cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you…”
