Is it appropriate to read these books seeing as the basis of the Shadowhunters in them are half human and half angel?
 
My dd read them and I started on one. I see nothing wrong with them and they are fighting evil.
 
They’re intense in places and with some moral ambiguities - mature readers well catechized can handle them. Some places they were too violent IMO and the sexual (including homosexual) references not for the younger set or, as I said, those without firm grounding in moral theology.
