Where can one find beautiful leather-bound catholic bibles? I am looking for a gift for my boyfriend, he will turn 25 in a month and I would like to give him something special to keep all his life. Thank you all!

My husband got me a beautiful, leatherbound, hardcover Douay Rheims Bible for our anniversary last month. It is lovely and I love the language–it’s so rich. If you want to go for a more modern language though, I also have a St Joseph Edition New American Bible that I really like.

I think that this is a lovely gift and extremely thoughtful of you to desire to give your boyfriend something so meaningful. Please update on what you get for him and how he likes it!
 
You might want to check out the products of St. Benedict Press. They produce beautiful editions of the Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition, the Douay-Rheims and the New American Bible.

Also tops for me in the beauty department is the Revised Standard Version - Second Catholic Edition from Ignatius Press.

I’m a big fan of the Revised Standard Version - 2nd Catholic Edition by Ignatius Press. It comes in a nice leather edition.

It maintains the accuracy of the RSV-CE, but removes the thees and thous. It also corrects some of the Protestant errors in the original RSV by consulting the Douay-Rhimes instead of the King James for the tricky to translate verses. Finally unlike the RSV-CE’s original update the NRSV, inclusive language was not added.
 
I am looking for a handheld small real leather catholic bible, but I can’t find it on amazon, it seems they only have the big ones.

Fire Side Catholic Publishing has librosario bibles. These are Catholic bibles that have a rosary embossed on the back cover. They’re not genuine leather, I’ve forgotten what the material is, but it’s very soft and supple and leather-like.

I have the giant print burgundy one myself and bought the white one at the bottom of the page for my sister. Both are beautiful! I also love running my fingers through the embossed rosary as I’m reading.

Also I have the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible, New Testament which has wonderful notes and sidebars, in addition to being beautiful to look at. But - it’s only the NT (it’s the size of a full bible because of all the notes).
