That’s a beautiful image and a beautiful devotion.

As Mother Angelica might say, it’s simply awesome that Jesus desires to need us. To think that we could console Him is breath-taking.
 
I think it’s taken from the Shroud of Turin. Whoever made it used the Shroud as a base, then added things.

It’s a comforting image, though.

It is. The huge eyes, long nose and forehead are classical Shroud features. So is the position of the blood on the forehead.
