I am posting this to warn parents. A lot of us don’t know what type of shows are shown late at night on FuseTV. The following is very sick and disturbing, but it is not an exaggeration. I really did see this on Fuse.

Since my hubby left for Afghanistan, I’ve had a horrible time sleeping. So, I lay on the couch late at night and flip aimless through the channels.

As I was going through the channels, I came across a woman in a skimpy bikini who was standing in front of a dog. I stopped because the dog looked vaguely like my brother’s boxer(or at least to my sleep deprived mind it did) I was curious about the dog.

The woman began to encourage the dog to smell and lick on her bikini. Surprised, I looked at the channel. I couldn’t help wonder if there was some kind of sick porn that had accidentaly shown up on regular cable.

It was fuse and the show was RadGirls.

The young lady, apparently, had on a meat bikini(I’m not making this up) I turned the channel quickly.

What the flip is going on here? Have we dropped so low in our society that boderline beastiality is now being shown on cable tv? I really am one of those people who think that if you don’t like something, you should get up and turn the channel. But this was sick. I mean who ever would this appeal to?

For the first time in my life I want to complain about a show. But i don’t know who to complain to or even if it would work. So, I am going to warn parents that you might want to block this channel
 
The “we” you mention is not everyone. This sort of thing will appear more and more since the media is pushing what it calls “the envelope.” What was once a welcomed guest in our homes has been turned into the image of those who control it now.

The word “indecent” is still in the dictionary.

:eek: Wow,that was a surprise!!!.I don’t get Fuse TV but you can contact the FCC about it.I just have basic cable with Time Warner
since cable was getting pretty expensive.Good thing no kids saw this.Disgusting.
 
Well, if you do your research you will find that the vast majority of media moguls, CEO’s, producers, directors, and basically people that make it happen on TV, the movies, the radio and in print, are not Christian at all…they’re almost all Jewish, and secular at best. The filth that spews out of Hollywood is not surprising at all when you consider it’s source. Not trying to be racist at all, but this is a fact that cannot be denied.

This sounds awful!!! Makes me glad we don’t have cable or dish, regular tv is bad enough!! This sounds worse than the Hardee’s commercials, and those are pretty raunchy in my opinion!!

Have you seen them? There was the Paris Hilton one years ago. And now there is a sleezy chic in her pj’s prancing around sexually and eating a burger…how about commercials with a family in them??? I refuse to go to Hardee’s because of it.

Where were you when the media was conglomerating all over the place…there is practically NO local(ly controlled) media left. Where did community standards go??? This happened during the 80’s. I am not in favor of wholesale censorship…therefore I suggest that you not subscribe to those stations…save money! Also there are child proofing tools/software available if you must have the entire cable spectrum… parents have fought for that.

The tone of your message, sir…is quite disturbing. Perhaps you’d like to be the censor of all media? To WHOM do we give that power?:rolleyes:
 
I saw part of a RAD GIRLS episode. I did not see the ‘meat bikini’ episode. What I saw was simply stupid, but it was not as nasty or gross as has been described.

I have a feeling that we won’t really have to worry about this show for very long. Based on the short bit that I saw, it is just too dumb to watch.
 
To us, this is just a tiny example of why we do not watch television. Yes, tv feels like ‘company’ when you’re lonely, but is that the kind of company you want to keep? Yecch. Reading and walking and just plain hanging out with friends if and when you can are all far preferable, don’t you think? When I’m lonely or ill, a knockout book or a walk somewhere I haven’t been before brings that manic glee right back. (And I’m always happily surprised how many thoughts and ways there are I haven’t explored).

May your husband be all right in this troubled time, and you too. Some of the music and lit people here do seem to have quite a clue; we’ve gotten some great references!

Being in my current situation, I was able to see advertisements for this show and I share in your frustration and wonder what is this world coming to. These are young girls that are doing this show. One commercial showed them producing a “semi-porn” and I was so disgusted. It is so sad.

BTW, you and your husband are in our prayers. Thank him for his service to our country and for doing what I cannot do.
 
It is important, as Catholics, to speak up as a community when we see something wrong on television. Just turning it off does not make it go away. The pervasiveness of the media and its consistency in every form, in books, magazines and newspapers plus TV and movies does have an effect on the culture. So I encourage my brothers and sisters in Christ to not wonder how this happened but to speak against it and then turn it off.

It is not appropriate to blame any one group of people for what’s coming out. There is good and bad in all of us. I recommend politely speaking to our neighbors in Hollywood. God values all people.

Turning it off does not help. I have had one situation when we were watching network T.V. earlier in the day, turned the T.V. off until after dinner, and then turned the T.V. on to another program where a couple was lying in bed. Luckily, they were just talking, but what if they were doing more than just *talking? *

Does the media expect me to change the channel before I turn the T.V. on or make my kids leave the room to make sure that the coast is clear? BTW, all this happened with my 4-year old in the room.

Don’t know about FuseTV but just as startling is the stuff on FX tv on regular cable. I can’t believe it.

I really got a learn how to use that v-chip.
 
Your’e the second person to mention this incident on a post. Another thread I was reading today alluded to this exact same stunt. Ug.

We’ve been TV free (DVDs only) for 3 years now. Whenever my husband gets that look in his eyes around the start of football season, I consider buying him gift certificates to Buffalo Wild Wings so he can go watch it there. 😉

My in-laws had “America’s Funniest Videos” on the other day ( blech, I know, but this was a step up from the usual CSI episodes on in front of the children), and there was a commercial for some anti-itch yeast infection medicine (sorry). My 4 year old then proceeded to repeat the “say goodbye to feminine itch” line for about six minutes. Then, of course, she asked me what that meant. :rolleyes: At least it wasn’t the “mama, what’s erectile dysfunction?” one that comes along with the Viagra commercials.

Honestly, I don’t know why people even keep TV around anymore- it’s all so depressing.

OP, my prayers are with you during this time of separation from your husband.
 
LORD have mercy! What is this world coming to??? I need to make sure that we don’t have this channel. If we do i’m will certainly block it.

That’s what it’s there for. In no way am I defending this channel or the content this channel provides, but as the posted stated, the show was on in the middle of the night. A lot of channels on Cable can play this sort of stuff during the evening and overnight hours. It’s the parents job to make sure certain channels are not viewed by their children.

And remember, this channel FUSE is a cable channel and you need either cable or satellite to get it. No one is forcing you to pay for Cable or Satellite.

And to these people who like to bad mouth television; television is no worse then the internet. A computer can rot your brain as much as a computer can.
 
I use to be an avid tv viewer but not anymore since most of it is inane, anti-any religion, in bad taste and quite explicit.
 
My computer went out yesterday, so this is the first time that I have been able to post.

I didn’t think about the FCC. The bad thing is that I have this hopeless feeling that it wouldn’t do any good.

Normally, I am the person that just tells everyone to turn the channel if they don’t like the programming. But the little section that I saw on Rad Girls made me wonder how much farther TV can push the envelope without actually showing porn.😦

By the way, I should point out that I don’t believe that there is any sort of Jewish conspiracy involved in these programs. Christian morals come partially from Jewish ones, so I really doubt that Judaism has anything to do with this.

Well, in a way, I am forced to get at least cable. My hubby and I have lived in several places and in some of those places, even with a good antenna, I could not get local channels!! The only way I could do so was to get a basic cable channel.

Cable and Satellite is not all bad. I like some of Nickelodeon and certain shows on the discovery channel. So, I was not bad mouthing TV in general.

Yes, the show was on late at night. But how much do we accept? At what point do we draw the line? Do we just throw up our hands and say, I could care less. What about public executions or porn? Can we show that? Even porn, if allowed on TV, would over time begin to push the envelope to draw attention and to compete. So would we have things like bestiality?
