So I think that the things which test us the most potentially do us the most good.

Have you an example which might agree or even disagree with my idea?

Please be kind in your posts 😊 thank you

I think good things can do us a lot of good. In times of great struggle, consolations give us peace.

The things which are the most testing compel me in the end to admit that I can’t do it .

I’m not the sort of person who likes to ask for help . I think I can do it all myself .

That’s not a good place to be in vis-à-vis God .

They force me to confess my utter need for God .

They’re that thorn in the flesh which I need to stop me from believing I’m my own saviour .

Jesus may have had such a situation in mind when he said , “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”

I confess the truth of St Paul’s words , “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

I gain no victory .

I am just clay in the hands of the Divine Potter .

It’s taken me a long , hard time to get here , but I’m still on the journey and hopefully getting there slowly .

Sorry if this seems a bit of a ramble , but it’s not easy to express the deep things of the spirit .

That’s a wonderful post Rob2 thank you.

Definately not a ramble. I totally agree, sometime something happens which you really can’t handle by any other means than by asking God for help , only He could possibly help sometimes.

Sometimes we are brought to our knees in pain before we can be brought to our knees in worship of Our Saviour.

Thank you for sharing CajunJoy, that’s quite a list of trials you’ve been through and quite a list of positives too which you’ve gained from them.
God bless.
