Has anyone seen this movie about Jackie Robinson? It’s rated PG-13 and came out in the US on Friday. I have been thinking of seeing it and wondered what others thought. I really admire Jackie Robinson’s character.

I’ve seen it. It was well done I think, and is suitable for a family viewing. It gives you the general picture, but is a little less harsh than the real deal. I would recommend it, except one of the main characters compliments Bermuda Grass.

The film contains an adultery theme, racial slurs, fleeting humor implicitly referencing homosexuality, a few uses of profanity, at least one crude term and occasional crass language.

The Catholic News Service classification is A-III – adults. The Motion Picture Association of America rating is PG-13 – parents strongly cautioned. Some material may be inappropriate for children under 13.

As with most movies, i’ll watch it when it comes out on Blu-Ray, heckuva lot cheaper

It is a scourge on all happiness.
We have some of it, here is a wiki article. It’s a glorified weed, a real pain to get rid of, extremely uncomfortable to sit on/touch, and will sometimes kill other plants near it.

Obviously this is not a serious reason to not see the movie.
