What is so interesting about it?
Well, He was born more than 1000 years ago, his birth was kept secret but a chosen few were granted access to ensure the proof of his existence was established. At age 5 he disappeared for 20 years, his whereabouts unknown to the masses but he kept in touch with the community through 4 deputies. In his letter to the last deputy he says: “from the day of your death [the last deputy] the period of my major occultation will begin. Hence forth, no one will see me, unless and until Allah makes me appear. My reappearance will take place after a very long time when people will have grown tired of waiting and those who are weak in their faith will say: What! Is he still alive?”

So, you are a Shia and you believe that this is the Mahdi? What are you trying to say?? The Mahdi is coming back soon???

Hi

I think, to say one disappeared for together 1000 years, it is a nice way of admitting that a person has in fact died.

Please don’t mind, the Catholics and Non-Catholic Christians and also some traditional Muslim believe that JesusYeshuaIssa is alive and would come someday is adimitting that he had died and now somebody in his Personality or Likeness would come to accomplish his works.

The Hindus believe that Krishna would come
The Buddhists believe that Buddha would come.
The Zoroastrians believe that Zoroaster would come.
The Sikhs believ that Guru Nanak would come.

So, it seems to be a proverbial kind of thing.
This is my understanding from Quran/Bible.

Thanks

Chech alexius,

I don’t know that he’s coming back soon but I sure hope I’ll be alive when it happens.

para, in light of the many miracles people of all faiths believe in, I think his living for so long is not a difficult concept to embrace. On the other hand, its my opinion that people want to believe in such things. Take Hollywood for example, there are dozens of movies featuring immortality, fountain of youth etc…etc… And people pack those theaters and suspend their regular beliefs as they enjoy the films. I think people’s psyches are being prepared for the advent of the Mahdi (af)

I’m sorry, I was not trying to sound hostile :o I’m just curious why you posted this, that’s all. Many would say that Christ will soon return…I cannot accept the belief in a Mahdi, but I understand your belief, as I have done much studying into Islam and its spiritual depth…👍
