The Nazis Declared War On Christianity In Public Schools Just As The Radical Left Is Doing Today

The UK has always had communal acts of Christian worship (now defined as ‘broadly Christian’ in nature) and religious education in its state schools (parents can opt their children out), never mind the large numbers of Anglican and Catholic state-funded schools.

Meanwhile, after a couple of hundred years of this, the UK’s levels of church attendance and religious observance are . . . . ?

If you meant to say that in your view that the current radical left (in the US) intends to eliminate Christianity in US schools as the Nazis did in Germany then your phrasing is unfortunate. This is because the connotation most people have of the Nazis - concentration camps, eliminating those they considered deviant (like Jews, gays, the handicapped, Gypsies) - tars the radical left by implication.
 
If we won’t stand up for the truth now, when ARE we going to stand up for it?

So what makes Mike Godwin so special that his law has any meaning to the discussion concerning similarities of Nazi actions and methods to current world events and groups? What makes Mr Godwin such an authority? He is just a computer geek with a law degree… which by Hitler’s standards makes him suspect:rolleyes: Maybe Mr Godwin is just trying to hide his own use of Nazi philosophy and tatics which he may use in his own actions and distractions. 🤷 Maybe he is just a closet Nazi himself, :eek: who knows?🤷

What we need is to have school choice in this country - in other words school vouchers for all so even the poor can send their children to private schools of their choice. If the idea of having public schools is, or was to help the poor and under served, then that would be the better choice for our nation. In the current system we are handing over our children to be educated by the those that are prone to facist and socialist ideas and we continue to get a poorly educated citizenry(sp?), which is what one would expect when it is socialist bent teacher unions that are in control of the public educational system.:cool:

Amen. I believe one of the reasons I have a hard time fitting in with the click that runs my department at school is that it’s full of secular-liberals, a few of whom are hardcore atheistic Socialists. We just can’t stand each others’ presence. The stuff they chatter on and on about in the lounge is undignified and scandalous. I can’t partake of it, under any circumstances. If that means I’ll be the outcast of the bunch permanently, so be it. 👍

I taught for two and a half years at ‘charter schools’ – non-profit, privately run, public schools-of-choice. The spiritual ambiance there was much better than at the gigantic, borderline out-of-control public school I’m now teaching in. There was a much more pro-social aura about the small charter-school setting. The pay, however, was so bad, I couldn’t survive, financially.
