The Nephilim

Who were the Nephilim? in Gen: chapter 6 states- they were the sons of heaven- now in that chapter - gen 6:-2 it says "the sons of heaven saw how beautiful the daughters of man were, and took them as wives. here there are three groups-- first group would be men, then second would be the daughters of men, then last group would be the sons of heaven, so are we to assume the sons of heaven were not human? and in different versions of the bible it states they are the “sons of god” and that would raise another question- but i’ll wait this answer first-
