I like to have different bible translations to compare to and see the difference in translation.

As of right now I have a douay rheims haydock bible which is really good but it is too big to be a portable bible.

I also have a simple NAB bible that is good but not the best translation.

The other day while at a bookstore I saw this book called The New Catholic Answer Bible

I like it because it has illustrations and answers a lot of questions about the Catholic church throughout the bible.

Does anyone have this bible and is it good as a study bible?

Well it’s also the NAB(RE). I recommend the Ignatius Bible (RSV-2CE). It’s literal, but easily readable, and catholic.
 
Yea I am planning on getting that one as well:)

The reason I want the New Catholic Answer Bible is because it has questions and pictures.

Maybe I’ll get both eventually
 
It has a nice ‘librosario’ synthetic leather cover, it is the NABRE translation (with book introductions and notes) and it has 88 pages of Catholic teachings scattered with in. 🙂
 
I am converting and picked up the answer Bible after having the message and i personally love it. The little q & a parts are priceless for someone learning the faith. Highly recommended.
 
It is excellent. It is well laid out. The Bible remains intact. At the beginning, after the Table Of Contents, you will find a list of the questions and where to find a discussion of each of them. After each discussion, you will find the Biblical and Catechism references.
After the list of questions, you will find a copy of the Dogmatic on Divine Revelation.
The Catholic Answer Bible was first recommended to me by the priest who teaches the parish Bible study. I often use it as a reference for questions on CAF.
