So I just got a call from my new doctor. She says my condition is so advanced and severe that she is sending me to a very specialized surgeon that will treat my bowel and female problems at once. They specialize in advanced diseases and cancer. Until then I’m supposed to remain on high dose of hydrocodone. And wait.

:crying: I am utterly despairing and crushed. I can’t believe this is happening. I thought there was finally light at the end of the tunnel and now I hit another huge brick wall. There is no hope out of this. I have to live in this nightmare and who knows how long it will take to get into YET ANOTHER specialist. Then the huge surgery, recovery, and all.

Please pray hard for me dear friends. I don’t know how I’m going to get through this nightmare. Please, PLEASE pray hard for me!

I’m so sorry. 😦 Hugs and prayers!

A better physician is not bad news. I know it will turn out for the best. We love you!

You are so sweet Clare! :flowers:

I know it’s for the best. It’s best that she new ahead of time that she wouldn’t be the best fit for my case. It’s just yet another doctor. Several more weeks of waiting to see the doctor, etc. All while still in excruciating pain. 😦

This is God’s will though I get the bowel surgery. I know that now. Two GYN’s have referred me to a bowel surgery specialist. I guess I must take the risks to give my body the best chance for healing. But this is MAJOR surgery we’re talking about. I’m not strong enough for this. :o

Ha! I didn’t think of this but there is one good thing about all of this…maybe those pesky “more catholic than the pope” posters will hush up now that I’m not in immediate “danger” of using birth control hormones for medical purpose. 😛

Yes you are.
“I can do all things through Christ” remember?
May the Divine Physician be with you throughout.
Stop fretting. You’re driving yourself crazy!!!
Have a sip of wine or whatever will calm you…herbal tea…hot chocolate.
A few pounds of Almond Roca…whatevs…😉

Thanks! :hug1: I wish I had the same level of hope as you. It’s so hard to have hope when all is crashing down all around you. Sigh…you (and all who haver supported me here) are my cheerleaders! 😛

It’s also hard to not focus on the situation when you have OCD and so much pain you can’t do anything to get your mind off of it. :o

Oh no! Well hopefully the new surgeon will get on with solving the problem faster than the last one! I’ll be praying for you!

It’s called perspective and trust.
When we pray, we don’t just petition for something and then sit around and wait. We actively seek to be in communion with the Holy Spirit. We pray for peace, trust that it will be granted, and then lay our heads down.
you have many friends actively and fervently praying for you.
You have Doctors examining what is best for you.
You have a husband who loves you.
You are a member of the Body of Christ.
You have a good sense of humor.
You are not hungry or homeless.
That’s your perspective. Our trust is in Him who love us so much He gave His very life in an excruciatingly painful way. With total love. You are sharing in the Passion in a unique way. You are united to Christ in his suffering, and He in you. He knows what you go through.
Try to get some rest. Ask your guardian angel to pray for you while you sleep.
Ask Our Lady to keep you under her mantle as her special child.

When I have a lot of pain, I often forget to offer it up :o so just in case, a little reminder. It’s November, so you can do a lot to help the Poor Souls in Purgatory.

I have been dealing with a sometimes very painful situation on and off–my sympathies on your much worse situation. They cannot do more for the pain?

I will pray that you get in to see the doctor soon. Mention the amount of pain you are dealing with and tell them you can be there in XX time if they have a cancellation–that has actually worked for me. (Prepare for that to happen by getting directions, etc., ahead of time!)

Thank you! 🙂 yes it’s hard to pray right now as my faith and hope have weakened considerably. But I do try to remember my daily offering if I don’t get much else prayed. 👍

No there’s nothing else unfortunately save even stronger narcotics, but they won’t I barely got these from them.

Thank you for the advice! Trust me I’m quite the stubborn pesky type and make sure they are doing all they can! :o

I have had my entire colon removed after 15 years of ulcerative colitis and ultimately, colon cancer. Was it tough? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely. I’m glad you are finally being steered in the right direction. The anticipation and anxiety that you are feeling is understandable, and being jerked around stinks. But give thanks that you live in a wealthy country where such surgery is even possible, and keep your eye on the light at the end of the tunnel. Best wishes.

I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through. :console:

Yes, I’ve thought about that (living in a country where it’s even possible to get such surgeries) during the hard times. Though I could stand to think about this more frequently. Yes I’m going through more than some people my age, BUT I’m still blessed in the midst of it to live in a place where there is at least some hope this will be better one day. Thank you for the reminder! 🙂

My appointment with the oncologist surgical GYN is set for November 24. So a two week wait. While that is nothing short of a miracle to get into an oncologist in only two weeks, it’s still going to be a very painful two weeks. Please pray hard for me. I know I’m a whiny-butt, and I’ve long worn out my welcome on here for support and prayers:blush:, but please PLEASE pray for me. Thank you! :hug1:
