Is it a little incestuous to think of the Virgin Mary as the New Eve and Christ as the New Adam?

Not at all. For as Adam brought eternal death into the world by sinning, so Christ brought eternal life into this world. As Eve disobeyed the Lord, so Mary obeyed the Lord.

Yes, but this was not my question. My question has to do with the Virgin Mary becoming the spouse of Christ by becoming the New Eve.

The church is born out of the side of Jesus Christ, out of blood and water. The blood is the blood of the new covenant in Jesus Christ, and the water is the water of baptism into his death and resurrection.
The church is created from out of the sleep of his death.
The church is the help-mate of Jesus Christ.
Heavenly Jerusalem, the mother of us all, is the bride of Christ. All of creation is groaning for the coming redemption, the resurrection of the bride of Christ when all of creation itself will be restored through Jesus Christ and his bride.
"For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church." (Eph.5:31-32).
The Virgin Mary through her faithful obedience brought forth the Messiah, and undid what
Eve had done through her disobedience. The Virgin Mary was the faithful descendant of faithful Abraham, and through her the promise child was born.
So it would seem that the church is the better representation of the New Eve, while the Virgin Mary is the mother of our faith, as Abraham is the father of our faith. They are exalted above all spiritual mothers and fathers within the church, the bride of Christ… ‘for salvation is of the Jews’.

The Blessed Virgin Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit. Christ is her divine Child, fulfilling the Genesis 3:15 mandate of God for the Woman & Seed to be at perpetual war against Lucifer and his minions. New Adam and New Eve doesn’t imply marital union. The New Adam and New Eve denote the second set of perfect humans, born free from the “Sin of Adam.” That’s it. The Virgin Mary shares spousal unity with divinity which shall be ours, please God, when Jesus Christ returns for His Bride, the Church.
