Article II
Human dignity shall be inviolable. Every human being shall have the right to life and human dignity; embryonic and foetal life shall be subject to protection from the moment of conception.
:clapping:

(1) Hungary shall protect the institution of marriage as the union of a man and a woman established by voluntary decision, and the family as the basis of the nation’s survival.
(2) Hungary shall encourage the commitment to have children.
Makes me proud. And I’m not even Hungarian!

I’m so happy for all Hungarians! I was in Hungary last year and I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that you see the churches full or at least mostly full. The liturgy was pretty good and I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I couldn’t understand a word :o The people were pleasant and pious. That was my experience in most of Eastern Europe except maybe the Czech Republic which was very secular.

Compared that to Western Europe where the churches and empty and ignored. I just had a friend return from Spain where he did a study abroad for 6 months. He mentioned how depressing going to mass was. He’s 22 and told me he never saw one young person in church the whole time he was there. He’s a bit of a party boy but with a good heart and he was appalled by the degeneration and lack of morals of the young people there. Now this is no innocent boy, after all we live in Miami which is a big party city but the situation there even shocked him

I mourn for Spain which brought Catholicism to the Americas and how far it has fallen. I pray that she can at one point return to God. At least the Easter European countries are far more religious 🤷

Yes, stanncie! I lived in Spain for the first fifteen years of my life and it is truly appalling how low church attendance is in that country. I would often be the only person under 65 at mass. It is also true that the morality of the Spanish people is very deficient. We must pray that the people of Spain again revert to their religion of heritage and become a testimony for the dark continent of Europe.

Tis a shame my homeland has renounced the faith 😊

Still I trust God will not forget the country which produced St Dominic, St John of the Cross, St Teresa of Avila and St Ignatius of Loyola to name but a few of our most glorious saints.
