What a horrendous experience that must have been for you. I’m sorry you lost your mother in that way and would a find any situation in which a treatable infection was deliberately left untreated to be unconscionable.Island Oak, most of your posts I agree with but as far as I am concerned the last sentence of yours hold no water with me.My mother had MS and the DR.'s at the nursing home didn’t treat her for an infection on purpose and when I had a fit because she died they said she was better off and when lawyers were mentioned the medical records disappeared.
So as far as I am concerned Terri is my focus and how dare anyone make judgements that her life is not worth living
I don’t doubt the sincerity of your concern for TS, nor have I ever on this or related threads ever rendered “a judgment that her life is not woth living.” I don’t have all the the facts, she’s not my relative and it’s simply not my call to make. I expressed concern that all activism on this case does not focus as sincerely on Terry’s best interest. Further, her family conflict has become so tortured that it’s hard to say even her own family will look after her best interests. But you misread my intent if you equate my very real concerns with a judgment on the value of Terry’s life.
