Just wondering if anyone besides myself here is watching the new season. My dad and I have been enjoying it immensely.

And that episode last night! Holy cow! What the heck?

I agree, Sunday’s episode was a head scratcher. Sometimes it gets very confusing & questioning. Very unlike the original series, but very intriguing.

Episode 8 was one of the most wonderfully weird and bizarre hours of TV I’ve ever watched. The NIN song ran a bit long, but other than that, it was great.

“Gotta light?”

I’ve only seen the first episode, but it seems like what they are doing is inventing a whole raft of new characters and spending little time on the original old ones. Which is well within their rights, of course, but probably not what most of us fans of the original series were expecting.

Is it suitable for general audiences like the original Twin Peaks was? David Lynch, for those who don’t remember, directed both “The Elephant Man” and “The Straight Story” (one of the best G-rated movies for adults). It is on Showtime - the most porn-friendly channel on cable - so thought I’d ask…

I’m not sure the original Twin Peaks was suitable for general audiences (which I take to mean young kids), although being on broadcast tv, it had to toe a certain line. Nevertheless it did center around a gruesome murder and rape of a young woman, whose corspe is featured prominently, and there are scenes set in bordellos and veiled references to perverse sexuality. The ending is not particularly uplifting.
