I’d highly, highly recommend you listen to The Conversion of Dr. Scott Hahn. He was a former Protestant minister – and extremely anti-Catholic (he even claimed to be one of the biggest anti-Catholics around at one point) – and in his the process of searching for the Truth… he ended up converting to Catholicism.

Secondly, The Conversion of Tim Staples – A former Baptist, turned Youth Pastor in an Assemblies of God church, now Catholic apologist. He had a lot of the same questions that you have, and answers them very well in this audio series. As mentioned earlier, he has another series on explaining Sola Scriptura that might be helpful for you as well.

Finally, last but not least, click here for the Catholic Answers Live radio show archives – go back through the archives – and find a particular topic that interests you. Whether it be on Mary, the early Church, the Bible, whatever floats your boat – it’s all in there. You just have to look for it.

I sincerely hope that if you really are searching for the truth, as you claim to be, that you take the time to read or listen to these items that have been presented to you. These links I have given you are absolutely GOLDEN. I simply cannot stress that enough. Please listen to them. It really will help you in your quest and I promise it makes sense!

drinking wine is ok…disagree…drunkedness is preached against
Christ is God…yes he is

Wonder which Church of Christ you belong to. The one cuppers? Anti-Sunday School?
Anti-meals in the church building? Anti -cooperation? Anti-located preacher? Or does your Elders approve of all the above, or only some or one?
However all the above sects of the non-instrumental Churches of Christ all claim to go by the Bible alone but can’t agree on what it says, and won’t fellowship congregations that don’t agree with them. They are about as confused as any religious group I know of.
So much for the command, example, necessary inference, sola scriptura mode of Biblical intrepretation!

As you may have noticed, the original OP never responded to any of anyones comments, just like I predicted back in June 2004 when this thread started. He was an obvious Troll from the beginning.
