In The Gospel According to Matthew, Chapter 9 Verse 18 mentions:
an official came forward, knelt down before him (Jesus) and said, “My daughter has just died. But come, lay your hands on her, and she will live.”

In The Gospel According to Mark, Chapter 5 Verse 22 states:
One of the synagogue officials, named Jarius, came forward.

In Mark’s Gospel, the detail that the official is of the synagogue is noted.

Did you by chance have a particular question regarding these passages? Are you wondering why the synagogue is mentioned in one but not the other?
