The one True Church...I have had enough!

Posted this on Facebook…I want to make one thing clear tonight, I am Catholic, a Catholic CHRISTIAN. I will always Support my Church and my LORD. I am saddened by the attacks that are made toward my Fellow Catholics by people that assume they Know what The Church Teaches. I will Defend my Lord and my Church. There is not way to separate the two. A attack on my Church is a attack on my Lord. God Called us to Universal (Catholic) , when you read the Scripture Jesus used the word Church Singular meaning one. The Body of Christ is so Divided and it saddens me. I know I may be speaking to a brick wall but It is truth. My Church is based of Tradition passed down from the beginning of Christ Mission on earth. It had its moments that I agree were not the most pleasant but don’t toss a few thousand years of History away based off a few years in History. Read, and learn the truth . Not what you were told by someone who doesn’t know the full truth and Judge for your self. GOD called us to be one in his SON. Remember that. GOD Bless…

When I posted this i was so frustrated with all the Anti Catholic talk. It seems to be worse this time of the Year. I could not help but make this known. We as Catholics have to do a better Job of not hiding our Church. WE ARE ONE in CHRIST. Be Strong my Brothers and Sister… We are Truth !

I hope that you feel better and remember to pray for those who are still searching to find Him especially at Christmas time. Sometimes people say things about the church because they are frustrated with themselves and don’t know just how to get it out and over the top. But I’m sure Jesus appreciates your sincerety and your prayers for those who are less fortunate.

I wonder if we share some friends… I have had to unfriend people who start in on the Church…It tends to surprise me, I should expect it but it always catches me off-guard. Thanks for standing up for the Church!!

TheRealJuliane, hey, be glad you can just unfriend; I get that sort of thing from my family on a regular basis. lol, they’re all about keeping Christ in Christmas this time of year, but not so much on keeping Mass in Christmas.

When I posted this i was so frustrated with all the Anti Catholic talk.

I’ve had a few battles on Facebook with childhood friends of mine with regards to the Catholic Church. Seems like some of my biggest fights are with people that I grew up with and went to Catholic school with. I’m amazed at some of attacks they make on the Catholic Church…so much misunderstanding by them. Quite frankly I’m embarrassed for them when I hear some of the reasons why they decided to leave the Church…total ignorance and they are spreading this to their children.

I use to be pretty militant and scolding in my replies but listening to Apologetics 101 advice I wish I would have approached some of the attacks differently. Instead of respectfully talking I would retaliate with my own attacks which just lead to deeper fights. What I seemed to be most amazed with if when I would spell out a defense that showed their claims were without merit instead of acknowledging my response they just wanted to spew more attacks on different topics.

One time someone made the claim that the Catholic Church was created/established by men (not Jesus). I started back with “What planet are you on?!?” which they didn’t take to kindly to…I was actually surprised at how offended they got over that remark. While listening to some old Catholic Answers mp3s yesterday Steve Ray made the same comment to someone who was trying to compare Catholics to Jehovah Witnesses.

Any kind of blasphemous bashings of anyone’s faith or beliefs is sorely mistaken. Bashing only leads to feelings of anger and fighting. Like the example to follow, Christ spread the heart of the Law ‘‘To love one another as I have loved you.’’ I know the frustration of those who do not understand or accept the church’s teaching. Some members of my family need their minds and hearts opened to this truth. I pray that we do well as catholics to spread the word of the gospel to those who are ready to listen to it. Peace and God’s strength to you my brother in Christ, hang in there. I have purchased the apologetics series in this website so that I might explain my belief system to my Muslim friends in the hopes they will want to learn about Christ. And remember, Christ never used force, He is our God, and will open the eyes of those who do not believe in the Final Judgement. And the disobedient will answer for their actions when God meets with them.

All I can do is pray for these souls that they come to know and love Jesus as well.
