I have been wondering. How to you prove to a non-christian that the we are right and that we have the one true God? You can’t exactly point to the bible and say, “Look hear…” scince they don’t beleive in the bible. How would you prove the bible? I can’t figure out how to show non-christians the basics (and there seem to be more and more nonchristians around). Can anyone here help? Thanks and God bless.

When you discover the principle - let me know. I’ve been trying to convert the atheists around me for awhile now. It seems the only thing they understand is that “Might Makes Right”. 👍

Montie,

I believe that the preferred method is to live a holy lifestyle and demonstrate through it the superiority of our beliefs. Arguing generally doesn’t get very far.

I have used some of the miricales, such as Fatima and Lourdes (healing waters part)(and am still trying to collect others) but, the most I found that if that works would only establish that is a God and that there is only one is the real stickler.

I’ve come to the realization that I can’t convert anyone…but I can plant the seeds that the Holy Spirit can cause to grow. Also, I refer them to Thomas Aquinas.

I know that we can’t convert anyone. That it is God that does it. But I want to have all the tools ready if God wants to work through me.

Most people have some sense of God in them already, and learning about him is just like reminding someone of something they already knew. This tends to work well with people who just haven’t given religion much thought and who have devoted a lot of their time in pursuit of material happiness.

People who call themselves atheists and agnostics are a little bit different. They spend a lot of time thinking about God and why he doesn’t exist or why our concept of an all-powerful God is logically impossible. I think they are so impressed with their own finite knowledge that they just aren’t open to the infiniteness of God.

The most important thing in talking to anyone is respect. No one is going to be able to see the truth if you are beating them over the head with it…not that I think you would do that.

I’ve already tried to present these things and other similar things as “evidence”. The only response I seem to get is that it’s just folklore.

Do not talk Christianity; walk Christianity.

When asked, share your views, and enquire about theirs.

Love them, respect them, and treat them like the children of the King, because they are.

Pray like mad.

You can’t, it’s that simple, that’s why it is called faith. No-one can prove whether or not there is even a God at all, let alone the one that you follow.

Sounds like the Muslims.
