The original "Baywatch" TV series or the original "Charlie's Angels" TV series?

From a critical standpoint, watching either was like a diabetic going to Dunkin Donuts.😃 Watching either too much requires a shot of mental, or maybe moral, insulin.

I was pretty much working for Uncle Sam during both series runs, so never watched but an occasional episode - neither really interested me. More of a Star Trek type - liked all those except Deep Space Nine - that one was too slow.
 
I’m not sure I ever saw a full episode of Baywatch. But as a 3rd grader, I loved Charlie’s Angels. I used to fantasize that the Angels lived in the attic of our house and were my big sisters. Lo . . . . .the simple mind of a 9 year old boy. . . . .

Well, randomuser, both the original Dynasty TV series and the original Charlie’s Angels TV series had the late Aaron Spelling as an executive producer. As for the original Baywatch TV series, it is brought up in this video.

Too slow?! You obviously didn’t stick around for seasons 4 through 7 and the whole Dominion War story arc!

I used to watch Charlie’s angels too at around 7 and 8 years old. My cousins and I would play Charlie’s angels and fight who got to be Kelly. My boy cousin got to be Bosley, but he played with us reluctantly.

They even had dolls!

As an adult I wonder why I was watching it since it was pretty mature for a 7 year old.

I saw an episode not so long ago where Christopher Lee ran a modeling agency and some models did high fashion modeling jobs, but others ended up being placed in sleazy jobs. Jack Albertson (Grandpa Joe from Willy Wonka) played a photographer, and the killer. Part of the episode has to do with a murder, and the other had to do with a drug ring. It was a two part episode. A lot of crime solving for three little girls who went to the police academy.
 
I don’t care for Baywatch. I saw CA years ago in reruns. I kinda liked it. It was cheesy, but it was the right kind of cheese. I particularly liked the one where Kelly’s daily coffee at a diner was spiked with drugs. Fans called it “Angel on Crack”.

Tuxedo Mark, how come you don’t care for Baywatch? Did the original Charlie’s Angels TV series have more substance? Have you seen either Cannon or Barnaby Jones? Was either Cannon or Barnaby Jones really much better than the original Charlie’s Angels TV series?

I remember seeing “Baywatch”, but I just didn’t care for it. I haven’t seen either of the other two series that you mentioned. I watched “Charlie’s Angels” nightly in reruns a few years back. It was cozy cheese. Not sure how else to describe it. It had that certain, unique CA feel to it with the dippy humor, the chloroform, the all-purpose Angel karate chop, and so on.

Also, I was subscribed to a Charlie’s Angels forum at the time, and it was fun discussing the series with fellow fans. We’d talk about favorite and least favorite Angels, particular episodes, unanswered questions (Kelly made a one-off mention of having a niece, implying she had a sibling), and who we’d ship (I paired Kelly with Kris).
