**I embrace your question. I did not see how the link applied.

There are so many “opinions” about this question. Many of them are untrue. I have read that some people take what is written out of context and apply it to their situation. If you want an answer surrounded in the truth - do not listen to all the posts - seek the truth.

The pill is never OK within a marriage unless the couple is willing to abstain. The pill ALWAYS prevents God’s will from being done - since a person is taking into their own hands the option of giving life.

Please pray about this and make sure you are consulting reliable sources…if you need direction please PM me.**

I’ve been using this method for a short time and it really seems extremely easy and I don’t know why people think it’s not. I have a problem with cysts in my family and I think this is going to help me predict if I’m developing a problem. Plus, it seems like a pretty idiot-proof way of knowing if you are fertile or not.

From what I can tell, NaPro is another form of NFP, based on the Creighton Method. The Creighton Method is morally acceptable b/c it relies on abstinence. If there is more to this, please enlighten me.

I think NaPro is the other women’s health benefits that have been developed from using the Creighton Method. They use your charts to treat other problems like cramps, cysts, infections, infertility, etc.

OK, but then…

So you warn that there are many “opinions” about this and then go on to offer your own opinion as truth.

From Humanae Vitae it is clear that medications (such as hormonal treatments including the pill) are not a problem, even if they have a contraceptive effect:

15. On the other hand, the Church does not consider at all illicit the use of those therapeutic means necessary to cure bodily diseases, even if a foreseeable impediment to procreation should result there from—provided such impediment is not directly intended for any motive whatsoever.

There is debate regarding the use of the pill (for medical reasons) by married couples who continue to have sex, but that has to do with its potential abortifacient effect, not because it “prevents God’s will from being done”. And while some moral theologians argue that a couple using the pill must abstain, others argue the opposite and the Church has never taught one way or the other on this specific matter.
