The Politically Incorrect Guide to the Bible

I’ve learned a lot from this book. It all seems reputable. I just thought I’d put this here because, on the basis that on the website the author has stuff about Catholics and that he refers to the book of Wisdom as a “deutorocanonical” book in the book, I think he’s Catholic. It seems to be meant to target ALL Christians. But I think it is a REALLY good book. I learned a lot. Anyone else read it/have anything to say about how a Catholic should feel about the well cited information contained in this book?

I read a few of the reviews. Mainly the 5 stars and 1 star. What I noticed was those that like it, like it a lot. Those that hate it, hate it a lot.

The constructive reviews points pretty much detail that the book is not to be taken seriously and only through entertainment, saying that the book comes from Washington and is not to be trusted. Then the secularists pop in and throw meaningless science dribble around and storm off. Basically the book stir the hornets nest, people flamed it, and left.

Me thinks the book is good, it matches a lot of what I have heard, read and witnessed myself. I am definitely going to buy it.

From what I see, this book basically is a no BS assessment of the Bible and Christianity. It has no hidden agendas or anything it says what it means and lets you decide. Clearly the book is written by a man who is fed the phuq up with todays society.
 
That’s the thing I liked. It wasn’t really biased, and he didn’t tell anyone what to believe. It’s not really as much of a guide to the Bible as it is to the old Testament and everything controversial about Christianity in general. I also liked how he didn’t really touch on Jesus till the end, which was good, I especially laughed at how he mentioned how a lot of people are convinced Mose’s was speaking with a docked alien mothership on mount Sinai:p
