I spent a lot of the weekend watching coverage of the Pope’s
trip to the Holy Land. It was a busy trip and required much stamina from Pope Francis. I am so happy the Pope made this trip.
King Abdullah II impressed me very much.
Glad the Pope had a safe journey and I pray we will see fruits of this trip in the future.
Did anyone else watch coverage of the trip?
What were your impressions?

I wasn’t sure which forum to put this in so if there is a better forum for this thread maybe a moderator can move ir.

I especially liked his impromptu stop at the wall bordering Bethlethem and his offer of the Vatican for peace talks with Palestine and Israel. Heart-warming. Viva il Papa!

I read today that the Pope actually invited them to the vatican for prayer. Which hopefully will lead to peace negotiations.

I thought his entire 3 days was heart warming.

I agree. Long live the Pope!

Watched a lot of the Holy Land Trip.

Interesting to see the places the Pope saw: Jordan; the Occupied Territories; Israel.

I thought the Bethlehem Mass in Manger Square was great; such a festive atmosphere in the crowd and the Christmas carols and hymns and Readings and the large Manger painting with the three most recent Popes. Truly Christmas all the time in Manger Square in Bethlehem.

Watched coverage on Salt + Light and EWTN. I thought Father Rosica from Salt + Light provided some interesting and insightful commentary about some of the events.

I also liked the mass in manger square.
Also liked the mass in the upper room, but it was not public.
It was nice to see the atmosphere in manger square also.
I am so happy for the people who were able to experience the mass with the Pope.
